+1 on TIP - but with paddles on the wheel - FVD. Driving a 6spd now, I would like to experience PDK, since I like the idea of keeping both hands on the wheel while shifting.

jstone is infamous around these parts
I can't wait for the PDK Turbo. Just imagine going 1st to 2nd without letting off the throttle. And it's not an automatic-kind of like owning a poodle

I was told yes by Todd at EVOMS but have not try it yet, hope I got this right:
PTM off
Manual in 1st
Left foot brake
Right pedal to the metal for 3 sec
Boost starts to build
Let go left foot
See 60 in 2.9 or less (w/ EVOMS tune of course)

Be sure to try this at home.

Hi m3-r ,
could you post some pictures of your steering wheel, front and side if possible. I’m thinking of installing fvd on my car.

In reference to your above statement ...... are you saying that if you keep your foot fully on the gas-pedal up to near 6800 for the 1-2 shift, that the rev-limiter will be hit before the shift occurs??

That is the only wretched issue with the manual trans, the limiter just comes on too fast in first because of the tremendous acceleration and 6800 redline. When racing, you really got to be alert for that 1-2 shift or you lose. I thought with auto-trans that there was no such issue, ie., the electronics shifted for you at 6800 under full acceleration.
