Configuring the 09 997TT
#46
Just got confirmation from my dealer that my Turbo would be the ONLY turbo in India with RS Spyder rims and probably the last GT1 engine bloc Turbo as they have stopped taking orders for 09 models and started taking order for the updated TT! Wo hoo!
Thanks to fellow member GEE - BEE for giving me the idea! More heart felt thanks to members who helped me out when I place the order (in a few days!)

2 words of advice that were given to me by a Porsche guy. 1) it is very easy to make the interior look like a circus, sometimes less is more. 2) If resale value is important, then the less is more should really be paid attention to.
Lastly, I think leather everything with deviated stitching everywhere looks great. I am not a huge fan of the CF combined with the silver bits. I also think CF interior trim is played out a bit.

I deleted the CF option due to the fact the shift **** is totally screwed up with Porsche. It makes no sense that you have to jump through hoops to get deviated and then you can't select your CF ****. I think your car will look great. And if you hate the stock alum **** you can get a cf one

The latest update , from the Sales Manager , regarding my spec Turbo is that there are some interior custom tailoring options that are conflicting . He just sms'd me (at 9 pm IST) . He will give me the entire details on the same tomorrow morning.
Now ... I wonder if any thing in that options list went wrong? I am very sure no option conflicts with the other. What could have gone wrong?

Yep! I have always enjoyed a Porsche with a 6sp. I experienced a 911 with a tiptronic and could never forgive myself for that error . If I wanted a fast 6 cylinder DCT sports car, I'd get a GTR , which I already have. =)
