The 997TT was stock in this video.. We purchased it just a few days prior to this. The 997TT is now modded and the GTR still walks it. The GTR has accessport Tuned and Turbo back exhaust pushing 530whp. With the tranny the GTR has there is no way the 6speed 997TT can keep up.

Let's get real man, that video is the funniest thing I have ever seen. At least try and make it believable. That video looks like me running my 997tt against my ISF. No way a 530rwhp car can pull like that on a 997tt. You don't think we are all stupid do you?
Seriously, I have had several run ins with GTR's on the streets and not one of them agreed to run. NOT ONE OF THEM!
Don't get me wrong, I actually do like the GTR. I have always been a fan of the R33-R34 Skyline GTR's. The R35 could have been better looking, but I still like them. Let's not create BS videos to try and make it more than the car really is. At least make it more realistic if you insist on shooting these silly vids.

I watched the video, seriously, is it April 1st already? I think that truck could take both of them if the video is to be believed. Miraculously it was able to hang without accelerating.

I hope that Porsche brings the PDK to the 997 Turbo so they can do another comparo with the cars. I think the PDK would bring alot more parity with the GTR and its uninterrupted power delivery.

That still does not change the quaility or accuracy of that video. I think a even stock TT can pull on the SUV next to it a little harder than that.

Rickie, let's at least be real about this. You don't have to FIND anything, it just looks aweful and it seems pretty much unanimous that if you're street racing you'll be passing traffic much faster than that. Not to mention the speedo not moving.
If the GT-R wins the roll race, fine, it's street racing. But at least make a quality video with a decent effort. Or maybe don't race in traffic so we can't tell that the TT is only driving slightly faster than highway speeds.

The video is almost propaganda for selling GTR parts to 'beat' 997 Turbos but a number of us on here, myself included, have encountered GTR's in the real world and the results were quite different.
I do agree with this:
The GTR with Accessport and Exhaust will leave a Stock 997TT behind on low end or top end. A modded 997tt with ecu and full exhaust will be a very good match (a drivers race) for sure
