New Lip for Turbo Babe (TechArt Spoiler Pictures)

Just curious how much the speedArt aero kit costs in comparison to the TechArt kit? I'm afraid that the high price of TechArt parts is exactly why I haven't jumped the gun either. I think they're way overpriced.

Compare here Jason:

I dont know if that's just parts though. Normally installation is an extra 20% and paint an extra 30% compared to parts (rough estimates based on TA quotes I got for the type II kit)

SpeedArt rear wing - $2,234.95
SpeedArt front lip - $1,693.99
SpeedArt side skirts - $1,354.99
TechArt Type I wing - $2,598.99
TechArt side skirts - $1,449.99
TechArt front lip - $2,349.99
From looking at these prices, the deficit seems to be much larger only when it comes to the front lip.

Comparing UK and US prices for TA vs SA:
TA type II rear spoiler = £3077
TA type II rear spoiler = $6699
SA BTR rear spoiler = £1095
SA BTR rear spoiler = $2377
Given the current USD-GBP exchange rate, I would start importing if I were you guys!!
-saying that, the UK speedART reseller here in the UK has a very very bad rep for bad service, botched work, and poorly packaged orders - so you might want to stay away from them. TA reseller Tech9 has a great rep though.

LOL It's not that high anymore. But I won't argue, it's not the cheapest product out there. But you get what you pay for. The Type II aero package will not only offer you factory fitment and quality, it's all wind tunnel tested and has been proven to generate serious downforce. I won't go into anymore detail because it will draw the attention away from cannga's car, and that's what we came here to see. But I do want to make sure everyone is as informed as possible.

What happened? Trashed?! The front or the underside?
Hard to believe this but my spoiler was scraped while leaving the paint shop ! And now I have two additional stone nicks, in front, already after just a couple of weeks. I called the clear-bra guy yesterday for this lip -- think am going insane. Did you clear bra yours?
Re. TechArt steering wheel, super nice but I didn't get it because I thought it might be a little too thick for my smaller than average hands. But I must admit, like the short shifer, the steering wheel is one of those things that I have not evaluated adequately. That is, until you actually have it on your car, you won't know. So yes they are in the back of my mind still.
Jason,
Glad to see you are making somewhat more serious inquiry.

I am not sure how much the Speedart or the Techart kits sell for in the UK, but I do know that the pricing variance is really minimal here in the U.S. The TA Type II comes with an entirely new front and rear bumper and rear deck lid including a fixed wing for $20,500. The Speedart equivalent BTR XL package does not include a new rear bumper, but a rear diffuser for $17,600. That's only a $2900 difference between the two and when you factor in the fact that the TA kit comes with a new rear bumper, it's not that bad. I am not 100% sure, but I think it also somes with the roof wing, mirror inserts and headlight rings.
As far the TA Type 1 kit goes, the difference is small as well. The TA Type 1 kit comes with eveything the Speedart BTR kit comes with (Front chin spoiler, side skirts, rear wing) plus rear diffuser, roof wing, mirror inserts, and headlight rings. The price of the TA kit is $9480 versus $5527 for the Speedart. I think when you add up the prices for a rear diffuser, roof spoiler, miror inserts, and headlight rings, the price difference is really nonexistent.
I think both kits are great and had a hard time choosing. I like the looks of both kits and I'm sure the areodynamic advantages of the 2 are about the same. It really came down to the material that the pieces were made of. I didn't like the idea of the Speedart kit being made of fiberglass. I really liked the idea of the TA parts being made of PU-RIM plastic, just like the factory parts. Just my preference.

I just went into a dip at an akward angle and hit a different part of the spoiler that I have never scraped before. It missed the scuff plates enitrely. The scrape is in front of the scuff plates. It's ok. No serious damage. Just needs to be stripped and repainted.
I tried the clear bra approach. They don't have a kit for it. They have to customize it, but it is way too much work and it didn't look right either. I ended up taking it off.
As far the steering wheel goes, I absolutely love it. I don't think my hands are any bigger than yours and I had those same concerns. Those concerns vanished after the first day with it on. If I remember correctly, I think Jason (Atomic) has it on his car too.

The TechArt steering wheel is one of the first modifications my Porsche customers go after. I keep a stock wheel in the showroom to compare the two. The difference is night and day. The factory unit feels like a rubber band after gripping the TechArt piece.

I don't exactly have the biggest hands either but I can tell you that the TechArt steering wheel is the first mod that you should have seriously looked at. I knew from the instant I tried it, that I had to get it. It's still one of my favorite "mods" ranked right up there with the suspension modifications I've made. So, I'd again, encourage you to take a look at it. Go down to CEC, see if they have one, find someone who has one in your area, etc.
A little bit of advice, you obviously love using the Porsche script, but it really looks best when left "crisp" as opposed to softened like you did in your past picture. That's from a photographic point of view.

Hi there Griza, this is the closest I have to a side shot -- hope this helps.
Stock:
TechArt:
The closest to this look, of front spoiler lower than side and rear, is the GT3.
For side shot with side skirt -- check with Got Boost or look at pic from Vivid Racing above. I've seen Got Boost's car in real life; it is absolutely stunning.
