New Lip for Turbo Babe (TechArt Spoiler Pictures)
#76
I miss my red turbo, your is stunning! I guess I am a big fan of the full techart type 1 kit, I think it is the best one out there. The side skirts and rear would really complete it, but at least your lowers are painted. Enjoy the red beast!!

Thank you and hope circumstances will let you back in a Red Turbo -- Go Guards -- one of these days.
You had a Ruf? How was it? What suspension mod did they use?

Alex,
I am not an expert but believe I've read that polyurethrane (TechArt) is much preferrable to fiberglass (SpeedArt), which tends to shatter (??). Maybe someone in the know could chime in.
Appearance wise, strictly a matter of personal taste -- one is not "better" than the other, but note that the TechArt front spoiler points forward more and has those two sharp protruding points, whereas SpeedArt is more blunt. I did also look at SpeedArt but decide to stay with TechArt just because somehow it looks so good on eclou's car.
Jason/Mike/Justin,
What is it about the TechArt wheel that makes it feel so good? Is it because it is thicker or is it because it's smaller?
Does it make steering response more twitchy?
Hmmm... I know I should not have frequented this forum so much.
TIA.

Many of the aerodynamic body components come with ABS grilles, kevlar radiator / brake ducting and numerous pieces of hardware. That is usually the biggest difference between genuine TECHART and the counterfeit products some people push.

Regarding the TECHART steering wheel question, it is a Porsche factory wheel (thus the core exchange) that has been stripped down to the bare metal ring. The grip is then recast with a firmer, thicker diameter core that is also contoured for a 9 and 3 grip. Leather, Alcantara and stitching are spec'd to order. The overall size is only slightly smaller than stock because anything smaller would block the instrument dials.

Can,
The size is only slightly smaller than stock. I can't explain it, but it's just not the thickness of the steering wheel that makes it good. The total feel just feels right.
You haven't learned yet? The more you roam these forums, the more money you spend. It's like a drug addict coming back for more hits!
