Custom 321 Ti/Steel headers and Suspension Links

These tuned and polished headers are perfected for the 997TT and were first on the 997TT featured in the April issue of Excellence magazine. They are built by S-Car-Go with 321 stainless and contain titanium in the alloy. Beautiful!

The pairs of rear 'upper control links' (nomenclature?) are a new item and complement my Cup car lower control links with ERP monoball bushings.

This may be one of the best handling 997TT's out there. I'm looking forward to getting this car out on the road with the new close ratio steering rack.

Yes guys, the finish on the headers is indeed beautiful and it's a shame that they'll be out of sight.

I was at Thunderhill some weeks ago with my driving instructor and we both were in awe of the handling of the car with the Cup arms and ERP links and bushings. Unlike before when stepping on the gas forced the front end to understeer it now tracks very nicely and the front wheels pull the front around the corner. The overall handling is very balanced at the limit. I was surprised at how fast I was traveling around and out of the corners with the help of the Toyo R888's and the Guards limited slip. Increasing the negative camber will add even more traction but the car is truly transformed with these modifications and I highly reccommend these to anyone who is looking to increase their exit speed or is tired of understeer under acceleration. I'm awaiting the manufacture and delivery of ERP front drop links that should add a bit more positive steering feel.

I have since installed the closer ratio steering rack and installed two ERP rear upper control links on each side. I havn't tried this latest configuration yet as the car has been on the lift while the headers were made and fitted. I'm expecting a little more power gain moving from the EVOMS headers that had to be changed due to cracking on that track day. These three changes will be fun to explore.

Did you do your TechArt coilovers before your control arms/links or did you do them together? Any comparisons between coilovers before and after control arm installation?

+ rep point for a great install...

Thanks!

The TechArt coilovers were done a while ago and made the car more solid at speed but the car car would still move about on the suspension, other than the direction allowed by the struts. After removing a fair amount of rubber via the arms/links change the car lost that nervousness and is more "one with the road.'

The quality of the ride has hardly changed except in a few places where the freeway surface is bad (in the way of imperfections very close, say 6", to each other) or moving over those raised cat-eye lane markers. I acknowledged a previous poster for explaining this more accurately. Definately not an issue, and I'm traveling California roads.

What I forgot to mention is that I also just had installed GT3 strut caps that have a monoball setup and with less rubber. These I think, will change the ride somewhat as they are mated directly to the struts.

Outstanding. I think you're going to have some great times at the track.

Bobby, saw your sig, is yours at Ruf? My brother is sending his up later this month.
Agree, sweet setup bluesea, a well setup turbo is unbeatable on the track.

Just changed my sig. It's in the works. Suspension, clutch, ECU, exhaust, flywheel and a few other pieces. Big $$, but it's the closest I'll ever get to the CTR3.

Oh my -- congrats! I notice you've been in some of these suspension discussions and have wondered why you haven't done anything. Now I understand. Completely!
