Squeaking noise from Engine

I have noticed that everytime after I wash and dry my car the car tends to make a squeaky noise after I start it and depress the clutch. The noise only occurs when I depress the clutch and let off of it. After about 5 pumps on the clutch or so the noise goes away.

I am thinking it has something to do with water getting into an area by the engine. This morning it was raining profusely and I was on my way to a meeting where there was no covered parking. When I started my car after the meeting, it made the same squeaking noise comming from the engine area as I was backing out of my parking spot (noise only occurs as I am working the clutch). By the time I was out of the parking lot the noise was gone.

Have you guys experienced this? Is it comming from a pump of some sort

I know my breaks squeal a lot after I wash them, which is usual, but this noise is odd. It only occurs after I wash the car and for just a few minutes or less.

Dam rats!! Where should I place the bait in the engine bay? There is hardly any room hahaha!

The squeal sounds more like a little pig getting beat with an ugly stick!!

brakes

I get that kind of noise from my (ceramics) brakes after a car wash or heavy snow fall. And after a (touch free auto) car wash I almost don't have any brakes until I jump on them a few times and then all is good.

I didn't know about the grinding noise when I shifted gears but now I figured out what the peddle left of the brake is for and things are running quieter.

totally normal after wash or rain. I place two towels over the engine when I wash and it prevents the noise...dont forget to remove them before driving
