Has Anyone Raced a 997.2 PDK C4S....

the question is what will the NEW motor be like, not the new tranny. Everyone can go drive a PDK now, as good as it is, it has major issues. What the hell was Porsche thinking putting those stupid shift buttons on the wheel?
A "driver" will still select a manual, if you track you car that much you'll look into the PDK with a new wheel, that mod will cost you. I never understood the fascination with computer shifting and I never will. I will probably be the only guy flying my spaceship to work and using a manual

sport mode wakes up the turbos, thats for sure, and throws down a ton more torque. I think the first time around the major issue was he was not expecting to run you.
Launched right a stock turbo will easily beat the PDK, but launching right is not easy, I think all I could muster was a 4 flat 0-60 when stock but I dont like to abuse the car trying to get 3.7 or so as advertised.
PDK will run 4 or close to it all day long as the computer is launching it

Thanks Porsche Boy
Thanks Porsche Boy and everyone else for the knowledge. I started this thread to get some insight. I hope no one takes offense for any reason. Manual is great and PDK is great. I have had both, driven both, and love both. I am just wondering the stats here. It is inevitable to compare. As far as the steering wheel paddles...not that big of deal. I honestly dont use them. If they were done correctly I might, (One for down and one for up) but all together, put it in sport plus and touch nothing and it is truly incredible.
I dont see the PDK as a replacement for manual as much as an option. Some choose to shift...some dont. And Some like both...like myself. This particular thread is about the comparison of the PDK S to the Turbo...Manual or Auto Times and speeds.
THanks for all the replies ...please keep them coming. This is interesting.

Have gone up against a turbo with my c2s pdk. Me with a passenger and just the driver in the turbo. After the speed bump I got the jump and floored it. Went through gears 1,2,3, and as soon as it shifted to 4th I let off the throttle. Suprisingly he did not pass me, he then told us he was not expecting us to race and did not engage sport mode where it gives you the additional torque. I agreed to race again and this time it was from a rolling start at 40 kms. 3 honks and we both floor it at the same time. I managed to stay ahead in gear 1 think its because of the turbo lag and at around 90kms he is right next to me. As soon as I shifted to 3rd, I must admit he kinda fast walked me away. Does the sport button really make that much difference?
Modified --it's no contest at all. The Turbo is so fast and there such minimal lag that it can actually throw your back out if one isn't sitting straight in his seat . It can break a hair clip throwing back a passenger in 1st gear going 0-30 MPH. That is how much force a modded Turbo has even at slow speed without that stock lag.
It's a total all out face smearing bolt that a 997S can not compare .
Take a look at this .
Here is a 997.1 S vs an M3 in a straight line. The M3 pulls it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isBoU_Is24g&feature=user
The 997.2 PDK might be even .
I have an M3 (stock) and a modded Turbo . The two cars are in such separate leagues that one can not even compare them.

Well, it's going to be 70F (YES...READ 70 DEGREES!!!! In WISCONSIN) tommorow. If I get done early, I'll drop by the dealership and see if they want to give another go. I think things are going to be a little different.
