so will be there defenetly a 997 Turbo S? (maybe shortly after the 997.2 Turbo) i hope so. i guess 500 PS for the 997 Turbo facelift, 520 hp for the 997 Turbo S and for the 997 GT2 facelift 550 hp.

I doubt it. I think if there is an S, the new Turbo will be that. However I think PCCB will be an option and not standard. I think it's to much to ask for a facelift and an S model with the way the economy is.

I would agree, but look at the prices of the Panamera compared to Porsche's idea of the economy.

The Panamera could end up costing Porsche all of the updated models. Of course if the they only plan to sell a few thousand world wide it will be fine. But there is no way we'll see GT3 facelift, GT3 RS, GT2 facelift, GT2 RS and Turbo facelift and Turbo S in the next 3 years before the new models come out. Anything that's not out by the end of 2010 isn't coming out.

I have been told they expect 20k to be built per year. I have one ordered, but am reluctant in this economy and especially at the prices they are charging. A turbo can almost be optioned to $200k. Mine is $150k.

Pan's are all pre-sold at the top dealers. Remember they each got 2 for inventory, the rest MUST be ordered.
The GT2 is always a bust and its a project of passion not revenue. We probably saw our last USA version for a long time.
The racing series cars are the ones that will get hurt the most. Teams are using last years cars for this season due to the economy. So anyone waiting for the cup cars got the call about 5 months ago. They all sold to private parties with in 36 hours.
As a stat major I was always taught to throw out the low and high, I think 09 will go out as the low, so lets just toss it out. Things will go back to normal in 2010. Racing programs is an entire different thread.

They ruined it? LOL, I guess we'll see when people start buying them up or not. But I'll put my money on Porsche. The facelift is a step in the right direction, function over form, the way a GT3 is meant to be, and the changes aren't drastic anyways.
I do agree that Porsche Motorsport is going to be hit the hardest though. But absolutely disagree on the facelift.

20k?? Wow, I didn't realize the 150k sedan even had a market that big, even worldwide. As mentioned before, the Cayenne was a gamble too, but priced similarly with competitiors for entry models, this is entirely different. Maybe even a little arrogant by Porsche.
Is your car going to be a Turbo?

why want the TTS when the 991 TT will be serious new and faster. and don't forget the 997 TT got ****ed up by the GT-R so badly. I want something truly new and not something just add on later like the facelift to complete with other.

and the GTR isnt that faster than the 997 TT. the 997 TT is faster on many tracks than the GTR. also acceleration.
