Porsche sports exhaust!

My 997tt is fitted with the porsche sport exhaust, to start with does anyone know how much HP gain it has over the stock? second i want to tune the car, i was only thinking about headers or/and air filter! can anyone give me advice of what to do? what im looking for is a louder/deeper exhaust note and a little power gain..

Thanks.

The most power gain you will get is by tunning your ECU, it's the most common and easiest way of getting more noticable power along with free flow exhaust with 100 cell or 200 cell Cats.

To my knowledge, porsche doesn't offer a sport exhaust for the 997tt.

hey J, first what are the baffles? is my exhaust any good? one things for sure is that they are quite but in sports mode you could really hear all the air thats coming out of them.. im looking for something that is both luxury and tough..nothing too flashy! the thing is i live in Lebanon and the only experts are the company, there isnt any tuning company that i could trust out here! so i did some research and i liked the headers but they only give 12hp..i dont want to remap my ecu or anythng..so i would appreciate some advice.. and tell me more about the offer ur talking about!
thanks agen

No sports exhaust offered for the 997TT and typically when offered its all sound, no added power. Is your car new or used? Perhaps previous customer installed something from the aftermarket?

Porsche does not offer a sport exhaust system for 996TT and 997TT...however they offer sport tail pipes (at least for the 996TT)so probably you are confusing tailpipes with exhaust...if you have sport tailpipes the only difference is the look...if your car has a sport exhaust,it is aftermarket and not made from porsche...

Or maybe the dealer just bullsxxt to you about the exhaust..It may just a standard one...Do you notice any improved sound from it or it quite? As the stock one is really quite...

Maybe you could simply take a picture under the tail (just the muffler body) and post up here we could find out what it is...

An exhaust alone is not going to give you a few car lengths on a stock 997TT. Any chance your car has flashed ECU + exhaust?

I know what you're talking about, Porsche does NOT offer a sport exhaust for the 997TT...What u have is an aftermarket exhaust if its anything other than stock...And as other said, an exhaust alone would not make u pull that hard on a stock Turbo...Exhaust is good for 20-25hp
