Meteor Gray 997 Turbo with HRE rims...

Never really cared for the colored Porsche crest. It draws the eye right there...ruins any fluid flow the rims would have with the color of the car. You generally will do contrasting colors to break up flow, or draw attention to a certain area...why would you want to draw attention right to the center hub of the wheel with a color that is found nowhere else? Could work with ceramic breaks, or other trim pieces, or body color...if yellow, etc.
Just my opinion,

Charcoal/gunmetal P40 without the pinstripe would be my vote. If you don't have to have HRE, Champion makes some very cool wheels, either way you can't go wrong!
And grey wheels look GREAT with a colored centercap.

Regarding gold crest on grey, look again at TT Gasman's pic above. Works for a lot of people.

Yeah, that looks good. My point was there has to be a "tie-in"...other yellow on the car. If not, the crest by itself just draws your eye and attracts too much attention to a single area...no flow, no tie-in. One other point...many people change out the side markers to remove orange from the side...then opt for the colored crest. Doesn't make sense to me. Just my opinion; I know it's not a popular opinion...as there are many cars out there with the coveted, costly crests. I think both photoshoped pics. above are awesome, by the way .

Goddamn...that's nice. Who needs real cars to look at with skill like that! Excellent work.
I'll have to start another thread about rims on a Cobalt Blue 997 C2S...I'll envite you over, and you can show me pics of Cobalt Blue rims with or without the silver lip, silver rim, and every other combination you can think of....

Hey guys, thanks for all your inputs! A big thanks to those who provided me with the photoshopped pics!
I think I am going to go with the grey rims and red pinstriping. Thanks Mcflurry, that pic made it all clear on what rim color I should choose...
These are actually me second set of P40's, I have one on my BMW 650i they are matt black that go with my Lumma body kit, for this 997 Turbo I have also ordered a Techart body kit, but I am not sure how long the kit will live cuz of the Boston roads I drive on!
BTW forgot to add, my car has steel brakes... no pccb's
