GT2 1/4 and trap speed?

LOL...didn't we cover this already?
You can definitely hit 130 with under 500 rwhp in the right conditions with the right car and driver. Bone stock Z06's have done it and since the 997 GT2 weighs essentially the same (3,175 lbs), is RWD (less drivetain loss than a 997TT), AND makes more power than the Z06...it makes perfect sense that it's able to do it as well...given the right conditions.
Hell, I hit 127 mph in my stock Z06 (on the stock run-craps with only 453 rwhp) in 90+ degree, humid weather (my 60-130 was only 8.4 on that run). On a cool, dry day (like the day I ran 7.86 60-130)...I would have hit 129, I'm positive of it.
I also trapped 126 in my 450'ish rwhp 996TT when it was full weight and AWD on the stock K16's (intake, exhaust and tune only). I would have hit 129-130 if the car had weighed as little as a GT2 does.
I'm not saying it's the norm, but it's already been proven it can happen.

Thing is, you need some serious negative DA to do it. It can be done, it just is not a realistic representation of everyday performance.

the car runs consistent 125-126 mph on 91 octane. on the 109 vp fuel it runs 129-130 mph. its originally a florida car but now resides in the san franciso bay area. anyone from florida know the history on it?

1/4mile and trap speed 997 GT2 owner
I know this is an old subject but I was away from my computer for a while. The car is a freak or as i say, haunted but definately stock and not tweaked! It runs 11.5 at 125 not using launch control and i'm positive high 10's using launch control. On the 11.3 pass at 110, I was on the brake because track officials threatened to kick me out if i went quicker than 11.5.
