Could someone explain Ruf pricing ? 650hp Mod=$119k ?

I was referring to the 600 package with my statement about VTGs, ECU, exhaust, and clutch.
I agree with you...the 650 build has significantly greater than 650 hp...but if you are going to purchase the engine swap for $119 + the cost of a 997TT (say $140-150), I think most would be better off just buying the RT12, having the complete car with a Ruf VIN number.

a conversion pack is EUR 70k and then the add ons starts...

I cant really add alot to what already been. Ruf is an extremely high quality product that is well backed if problems occur and holds value better than other tunes. What I have noticed most about Ruf and 9FF is that you get every hp that you pay so dearly for. I think with the Ruf 650 and the 9FF kits you even get more hp than advertised. Since these conversions are done by Ruf and 9FF personnel the consistancy is very high. Whereas with US tuners, you frequently buy the parts on line and put them on yourself or have a local wrench do the job that may have no experiance hot rodding Porsches. Thus, there is much more variability with these tunes.
While I would love to have a Ruf 650 or a high end 9FF car reality dictated I had to settle with a lowly bolt on package.
