505 mph actually! The 375 is in knots, so it's more like 430 mph.

349 kph or 217 mph, on GPS.

cops shot me with the radar gun. couldn't give me a ticket because while the radar got the speed, the automatic camera just got a picture of empty road (requirement here is a photo to issue a ticket based on radar)

Nope, stock -7 Merlin. Can't get that kind of speed in level flight, only going downhill. The guys racing at Reno get 450+ at times, but those motors are flying grenades and can't make that kind of power for more than a handful of laps.

OMG! that is just too funny!
Oh and before I forget my highest speed is around 145mph with myself driving in a Mazda GTX turbo.
170mph as a passenger in a Mitsi GTO twin turbo.

funnier still, the highway patrol/tollroad officials wanted a picture with the car, so i had to oblige...

(other non-uniformed guys in the pic are friends who were along for the drive-- GT2, Turbo, Murcie, etc)

165mph today, though that's probably as fast as can be done for me till I get an airstrip... At that point 200mph will be the goal.
