WOW! Very nice exhaust system. 1st production Inconel exhaust that I have ever seen for a production car.
Couple questions....
1) What is the weight of this exhaust? How does the weight compare to your Titanium exhaust?
2) What is the price?
3) Any videos?
Thank you!

To answer your question:
1.
Price please email the moderators fraun upon posting prices in the forums.
I can tell you its more than mostly all systems on the market. But it is a very nicely made part.
2. This system is completely different than our Ti system and offers different qualities. Just like our Ti system is not for everyone niether is this system
3. I can weight the system tommorow and get the weight compared to a stock system.

In the scrap world, as a pricing indicator, most inconel types (718, 625 etc) are at least 3x more costly than ti currently. Overkill as a material for turbo exhaust construction? arguably yes, but its never been about making sense right? Lovely looking system.

After reading about Iconel, I have to wonder why? I didn't find any information that referred to it being a particularly lightweight metal, just that it's extremely strong in high heat applications which lend itself well to aerospace applications. Maybe it is lightweight and I just didn't look hard enough for it. I'm curious to see how much the exhaust weighs. Can you tell us how much another aftermarket exhaust weighs for comparison such as a europipe and finally the Ti exhaust. I wonder how it sounds. Thanks!

Inconel is not light per se (compared to say Ti) but the walls can be made quite thin vs. 300 series stainless (304, 316 etc) due to its strength so sometimes you can save total material used to lighten up some applications.

that makes sense, so because of the pretensile strength, they can use less material which in turn will be equal to or even less weight than a lighter material such as titanium simply because to attain the same strength they need to use more material. Sorry for the run-on sentence lol But I can't wait to see it weighed to see the results. Also, does it have a different sound? I'm sure different materials give different resonances.

Ti and thin walled Ni alloy exhausts are much louder based on my personal experience. I had a Greddy Ti on my Evo and man was that thing loud, I pulled it off after a LA to SF trip! Could not take it any more.

The system weighs appx 20Lbs complete, The use of Inconel allows us to use thinner material while keeping overall strength up.. Inconel is also preferred in high heat environments due to its ability to dissipate heat and is not as suseptible to weakening from heat cycling as Titanium can be. The sound it produces is very unique , but is not loud or obnoxious

The OE 997 Turbo System is a whopping 62lbs, aftermarket stainless systems manag to shave 25lbs or so off the total weight.
