Lamborghini Gallardo OWN 997 turbo

I already have a tuned 997 turbo and I jointly own a 2006 Z06 with brembo brakes, suspension and wheels. If the economy does not implode I was considering looking to find a deal on a 2006 or 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo. Any opinions on the car and what is a good deal?

Prices have been dropping since the LP560's introduction. I've had the pleasure of driving both...and the LP560 is a significant improvement...especially the engine. Are you sure you want the older version? Good prices can be found on the LP560s.

I am not worried if it has more engine power. The issue is finding a good car at a deep discount.

There are so many Lambo's out there looking for a home, make some calls.
Personally, I think the Lambo's aren't much to write home about. I would try and find a nice early F430 coupe with a 6 speed.

The same holds true for the 430s but I believe you could pick up a gallardo cheaper. I might be wrong. The lambo looks more exotic. I have been in a 430 spyder on a track north of San Antonio and while it drove nice it was not that impressive. I am not looking to tune the lambo but have something exotic and fun to drive to complent my other cars.

I would never compare a Lambo to a Ferrari, not these days anyway. Different strokes for different folks. I am sure a twin turbo Lambo would be a blast to drive, to own maybe LOL
430 spyder on the track is not exactly what I was thinking
Sounds like you should be looking at the 360 CS but I doubt you would enjoy it

I agree. As much as I like the newer Lambos, Ferrari def has a softer spot in my heart. And with the prices falling the way they are you could def pickup an F430 for a deep discount.

Drove both and much preferred the F430 over the Gallardo.

I have driven the Gallardo too, it was a Nera, I wasn't impressed at all.
I think the TT is much more impressive, have yet to drive a 430 though.

I would also like information on reliability of cars. I do not want to pay $3000 every time it sees the dealer. I love Ferraris but they seem to be holding up.

i thought about getting gallardo spider. found one (08) in naples area for 180K with 720mis; over 100K off MSRP (282K). on youtube saw gallardo get beat by stock M6! that did it for me, got modded tt instead (less $$ & 600hp!) if your dead set on lambo lp560-4 is the way to go, a much better racer. for a little more $$ scuderia is king IMO. good luck, both italians are "lookers"

You are worried about the reliability but plan on tunning a Lambo?

New Fcars are solid, old Fcars are solid depending on who did the work. I have to meet an unsatisfied Fcar owner. Lambo owners can chime in on how their car holds up, but the Italian police have had few problems and I think they drive theirs pretty hard.
Why not buy a R8 toss a supercharger on it and call it a day, or better yet, get another TT

Well, since it is a "buyers" market....

Longer you wait, more deals will pop up!

Call the guys at Ecarlink, they always have great deals on Gallardo's....

I love my Superleggera. I used to have a 997s and I have zero regrets about buying the SL. The cars draws a ton of attention, sometimes too much. If you do get a Gallardo, I definitely recommend getting an 06+ especially if you are getting an e-gear. Along with the added HP, the e-gear on the 06+ is much more reliable and faster.
