My negative experience with Vivid Racing
All:
I usually subscribe to, "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it at all". There are exceptions, and Vivid Racing is one of them.
I feel it my member responsibility to share with the forum when a vendor (even a board sponsor) behaves badly.
As you know, I chose another vendor for my mods. Vivid Racing did not take too kindly to that, and felt compelled to berate me through a series of PMs.
Perhaps my negative experience with Vivid Racing is an isolated incident. I've seen posts by forum members that are happy Vivid Racing customers.
I'm not one of them.

You spent alot of time inquiry with me about performance parts. You then stopped coversation, and bought from AWE. No courtesy PM back to say, "hey I am going somewhere else, thanks for your time". But it is not my business where you buy your parts. What is my business is when you PM me asking for a great price on some LED marker lights. I take care of my customers for the long run. I take care of my customers even better that do business with me. I am just as entitled to voice my opinion right back at you. I am a person as well, not a robot.
At the end of the day, you did not have a negative experience with Vivid Racing, you never did business with us. You had a negative experience with my feedback to you.

Hey Taylor, you you every right to voice your opinion, But i personally think that Dan and the Team at Vivid do a great job when it comes to helping out 6 speed members. They go out of there way in addressing every email and detailing everything that needs to be done to make sure the part fits and there will be no Backlash regarding the part.
Personally +1 for Vivid! Keep up the good work Dan i have been building cars for 24 years and wish every vendor was like Vivid..
Sorry to hear your problem Taylor but i am sure if you would have told VIVID that you had gotten a better deal i am sure he would have been able to help you out somewhat.

I did call Vividracing a few days ago, just needing some advice about an exhaust and flash, I was just asking, was never a customer and was treated great, they spend a lot of time explaining without seeing a soon sale. I don't understand what is the problem here, but from my experience when I buy I sure will be buying at vivid... Just my 2 c...

I think that EVERYONE is entitled to their opinion, but to slam a vendor for choosing someone else? The vendor just voiced their opinion to you in private, you chose to vent to the forum. Sour grapes......
Dan / Vivid have been super to me. The best prices. Quality customer service. Nothing against the other vendors, but Dan has done a lot for me and this forum. Even when I had issues, they were there.

Let me understand this. You drafted a thread to bash a board sponsor because he berated you with pm's? Did you buy something that was not to your liking? Did Dan steer you in the wrong direction and you paid for something you didn't need? As you can see in my sig, I am a very happy Vivid Racing customer because Dan stands by his word. Next time, why don't you tell us if he hurt your pocket book and not your feelings.

Not to pile on to the OP here as I'm not sure what the exchange of PM's were.
I can say that my dealings with Dan at Vivid have been nothing but absolute professionalism. When I first made contact with Dan about some wheels, I had many, many questions as I was/am new to modding. There was nothing on my part that would have led Dan to know for certain that I was going to buy anything from him but he replied to ALL my questions in a timely and professional manner. In the end, based on his professionalism and competitive price, I chose to do business with him. As I have mentioned on my other posts, the transaction not only went as smooth as I hoped, my product arrived earlier than was promised, and my return product (as there was a trade involved) went as smooth as the delivery (with the credit being posted as promised with no problems whatsoever).
For my future mod's, Dan and Vivid will be the first place I go. I know he'll take good care of me, and heaven forbid he doesn't have the right product for me, I know he'll be good if I "have" to go somewhere else because I'll always return for the next mod.
Just my two cents.

Not to start with harsh comments to your thread, you do have the right to voice your opinion but you do not have the right to make up stories and bash someone who has the best reputation in the industry and I can assure you that most of the comments posted on here will be nothing but a proof to that.
Let me tell you how I cannot begin to understand your problem...
I call Dan at 10PM his time to go over issues, to test out and data log my car. I asked him to overnight me parts and he did not even bill me for the shipping or the parts, he did it just to help me figure out what my problem is.
When I drove all the way from Tx to AZ to have him do a huge project on my car he and his team worked 10+ hours a day on my car non stop and dealt with my arrogant OCD *** all day without a single issue or any negative comments.
I am about to send him my H2, not even a Porsche or a sports car but he is researching parts and everything for me even though he might not be able to do the job just to help me out.
I think that Dan is the one who had the issue with you and the bad experience and not the other way around.
If you had a problem with the guy or his shop, you could have simply told him over a call or in an email or even a PM and not come on here making a scene over this BS.

It sounds like to me you were using Vivid to get a better price at AWE. After all you live in PA and AWE is located in PA. Look, there is nothing wrong with shopping around I do it all the time. You need to keep everyone honest and knowledge is powerful force.
However I agree with everyone else here. This is not the place to trash someone, especially if no harm, financially or physically, has been done.
In my short time on this forum and speaking with several Sponsors, I have not come across any that have not been helpful in answering any questions or delivering what they had promised. Whether it is Vivid, Wheel Enhancement, Sharkwerks, Suncoast, TireRack, you can't go wrong.

you're in the wrong here Taylor. He can get mad at you for wasting his time. He did so in private.

Thank you for the support guys. Lets not let this go any further. I apologize for being "real" in my response in private. Maybe today is not Taylor's day. My man JJ up there beat me up one day too! There is no way Vivid Racing is going to win everyones heart. That is why there is an AWE, Sharkwerks, UMW, or whoever else. After going back and looking through all the PM's, we discussed everything from power, wheel spacers, etc. I dont mind giving advice. Probably 1 out of 10 PM's is a sale. Like IB says, vendors should be here on the board to offer more then just sales.
