1280 watts w/ Two Audison Thesis Quatros and Bit One, etc.
Today Aaron installed and wired in the two Audison Thesis amps with the Audison Bit One interface to the Kenwood 9140 head unit.
At 4 ohms the eight channels of the two amps will be putting out 1280 watts into Morel's Elate Limited Edition speakers and JL Audio woofers.
He also started on the TechArt lift kit, changing out the connectors with better shrink wrapped connectors.
There is always a lot of preparatory and detail stuff as well, like making the lower amp mount that replaces the triangular aluminum frame (not a structural piece). Also the PVC plates that separate the two amps with threaded mounting points.
In all of this he didn't have to drill any holes in the car except for the firewall to run the cables and some small stuff like front and rear cameras in the bumpers.
In one picture(next post) you can sort of see the Passport 9500ci speaker modification. He's using the front, top dash speaker that is no longer used for the stereo system in place of the 9500ci's powered external speaker and has placed the electronics of that powered speaker under the "wart" that now has a PLX multi-gauge in it (not yet installed). The factory speaker is of a different impedance than the Passport one so it should sound louder as well.

Second set of pictures
The first picture shows the two amps mounted one over the other with a gap for cooling and the Bit One, all mounted and wired up.
The second picture shows the 9500ci speaker modification. The amp is not really seen but one can see the top of the mount that slides into the front of the opening for the "wart" lap timer - now a PLX Devices multi-gauge.
The third picture shows one of the TechArt lift kit's changed terminals being shrink wrapped by heat.

Woops! Wrong on the power output
We were too quick to do the math while running about the shop.
It's 1280 watts into 4 ohms with eight channels from the two amps. I feel a bit silly.
I now changed the first post to reflect the right number.
