Wheels for 997 Turbo Cab

I'm going to order some 19" wheels for a 997 TT cab.

What are the optimal widths?

I just added a set of 19" charcoal gray HRE's to my Turbo Cab. I'm completely thrilled with the outcome. I thought about 20"s, but I found that darker rims tend to look larger than those with a silver finish. The darker colors tend to extend more naturally into the tire. That said, I decided to stay with 19"s and save the extra dough.

I'd say 19" HRE P40 in gloss black. It would go well with your black top and make it look much more aggressive.

In addition to the HRE P40's, I'd take a look at the P43's. They are another popular wheel for the Turbo.

dmoney is infamous around these parts
Please don't get P40's everybody and their mother has them, at least get something not everyone has jeeeez...try DPE, D-forged, Work, 360, Vellano, Kleeman, Modulare Society, Maya, just stand out from the crowd dude. Those P40's are the most payed out rims ever. Also get a deep dish with a nice flat lip, you won't be sorry.

19x8.5 fronts and 19x11 or 19x12 rears.

Are you looking for some lip or a monoblock wheel?

The HRE P40's are a popular wheel for the Turbo because they look fantastic. That's why I bought them, as did many others. I politely disagree that they are played out. I have yet to see another set in Austin. When it's all said and done, get the wheels that YOU like the most, regardless if it's the most popular or least popular.

Wheels are one of the most influential accessory you can get for your car. IMO, it can make or break your car in terms of looks. So, get what your heart tells you and not necessarily what's popular. Wheels are so personal and subjective. If your on this forum a lot, I do have to say that most here run HRE's so that may influence your decision-making. There are plenty out there to choose from.

My advice would be to take a couple of shots of your car, then photoshop various different wheels on it. Good luck.
