Agency power intake + Agency diverter Review
Ok hi all,
Well the main reason I decided to go for both of these mods was purely because I wanted to hear those turbos better and hear the blow off sound more. I had both of these mods installed at the same time and here were my thoughts.
Diverter valves:
The sound these things produce is extremely fun. You really get to hear the blow off sound like. I believe another member posted on another thread that it sounds kind of like a rocket or a spaceship something like that. Best way to describe it is something like ptsoooOOF. I think heh. They also sometimes create a different noise when the boost of the turbos are not at the peak and sounds something like a mini ptsoof and then you hear the air whistling/rattling. Which to me is frikin cool honestly. The stock diverters could only be heard in higher gears with the rpm low on full boost, whereas you now can hear the blow off at high rpms under boost easily. So if any of you guyz are thinking about this mod, I highly suggest you go for it. it does not cost a lot and look at the good points:
-Better sound pitch quality
-Louder blow off noise
-Boost is being held consistantly
-Not an expensive mod
Agency power intake:
Ok so what do I think of this. Remember the main reason why I got this intake was to hear the turbos spooling more. It certainly did the job but it is not as loud as I would like it to be. Maybe something like 20% louder. I could be wrong but this is what I hear it to be. Sound pitch is not exactly changed, just louder. Performance wise I DO feel more power in the mid range and it definately feels smoother. Before these mods my car would run at 15 psi in gear 3, after these mods It would read at 16 psi. Now I do not know if this is because of the intake but the only mode I have is a tubi street exhaust so the stock diverters should be holding the boost just fine so is why I think the intake must have contributed to this increase in psi. I could be wrong though.
Good points:
-Louder turbo noise
-Some hp has been gained
-Sealed box so (do not worry about heat) I live in Dubai
Bad points:
- Slightly expensive
- Carbon look can be a bit nicer. I do not know if it was meant to have a matt or clear coated look but the carbon looks a little bit dull. Who cares though rite? It is never going to be seen heh.
So I am DEFINATELY happy with these simple mods. The diverters are definately a no brainer, I believe everyone should have them and if you are looking for an intake, I highly recommend agency power because it is A CLOSE BOX so no more worrying about what if it gets heat soak.
Oh and please don't chew my head for pictures as I have always had difficulties uploading them. Just wanted to share my experience as this community has helped me gain so much.
Thanks Dan for the great products and support.

Why do you think you have a blow-off valve? The air is recirculated, if any metered air is vented to atmosphere your car would stall and run badly. When the air is recirculated as it is you will not hear any diverter noise.
I am assuming you are on stock VGT's according to your thread? If you are on Garretts then that would be a different scenario. Curious on how you hear a blow-off sound when the air is recirculated. The sounds you are hearing might be due to the aftermarket intake/filters.
As for the intake, no way it will add boost pressure since that aspect is controlled electronically/mechanically. With the intake you are allowing more cfm, more air=more power to a degree by sacrificing filtration not sure if that is a good thing being in Dubai. How does the Agency Power air box seal any better than the factory air box since it is a cf copy of the factory part?
Enjoy your mods in good health.

Anytime you put a more free flowing intake on a turbo car, you here the turbos more and the whoosh sound between shifts. But you are correct as it is a built in diverter type valve on the turbo. No air is vented to atmosphere.
The air intake is not a copy of the stock box. It is built to be a cold air intake that looks like the stock box. Other people build a carbon cover for looks or a open air intake that just takes in hot engine bay air. Our intake was designed differently. Here it is seperated...
