Hmmm. Didn't notice that. Perhaps seller changed their mind or found a buyer apart from ebay.

i actually bought it for $70 and used the other $20 for mods... on a serious note the buyer may have found a buyer outside of ebay or someone realized the vin pulls up a 2008 GT2

RonM5 is infamous around these parts
The car looks like it was bought during a tour of duty in UK then shipped back to the US. Reserve is around $85 - 90. Is this reasonable buying apart from the fact it is RHD ?

Not being a resident from the US, what would be the first check I could do to make sure that the sale is genuine?

Cheers
Ron

where did you get the reserve $ from? also, the VIN doesn't pull up for a 2007 TT so kind of sketchy....

I asked a question from the seller in the newer eBay listing and that was his response; reserve $85 but would like $90. Last eBay auction stopped - could that be because he wanted to raise the reserve? Just checked new listing again

seems that the price is now at $80k but the bidding history looks dodgy or set up.

Owner advised me when I enquired that it was out of Australia and was unsure whether or not it met Euro Regs.

His last reserve was at $70k and he accepted my offer of $80K before I posted this thread. I asked for his contact info. and he pretty much didn't reply.

The bidding is also sketchy with the guy with a negative raising the price. Also, carfax/autocheck pulls up a 08 GT2 with that vin...

OK ... things are looking dubious.

This is his reply to why it is RHD ...
"Car was Bought in Europe while on a tour of duty spent 18 months out there and was based in UK for 10 months and Germany for the rest of the time. I had never driven a RHD till then so order my car in that format I guess at the time it was a noveltiy....LOL"

And to the question on why is the VIN different ...
"The Vin is a euro vin not reconised by ebay so it wont allow me to enter the correct one..Hence I used a Vin supplied by the Porsche dealership"

Any other questions we want to ask him why he (or she) is in replying mode ...
