Black Lug Nuts?
Gents,
I've been through 2 sets of powder coated black lug nuts and the damn things keep peeling the black off.
Does anyone know where I can get a real set of black lug nuts??
Thanks!!

I got my car close to two years ago and couldnt find any reasonable option so I went with the cheap plastic covers. They are still on the car and only way up close can you tell they are fake.
Cheap alternative IMHO:

I have the Otis LA black lug covers on my CTTS and they look pretty good. The painted and powder coated versions just don't seem to hold up very well, even with a Soft Socket. I recently saw some titanium hex head lugs (not Poggipolini Torx head) for about $625 and was thinking that those could probably be anodized. If you go with the black covers, check eBay as the prices are even cheaper.

I just put the agency power black lugs from Vivid on my car with my textured black P40's. I hand torqued them, no scrapes or marring to finish of lugs at all - they look perfect. Have only put them on the car so far, have not removed them yet. They look like a quality item. You will need to powder coat the original locking nuts if you want that feature since the 20 you get do not include a locking one.

The problem is they are nuts not bolts and converting to studs is a bit of a PITA.

Mine looked perfect and still look great after removing wheels for suspension work I had done. I would buy them from Vivid, if you were to have any problems I am sure Dan would make it right for you. ed.
