2008 GT2 - Delivered this week

I think some of the Porsche dealers are getting tired of seeing 997 GT2s sitting on their lots.

Love the red dials, a nice touch. How do you find the 997 shifter compared with the SSK for the 996? I've got the factory 996 SSK and have a 997 shifter sitting here waiting to install and I'm leaning towards doing it but would like feedback from someone who's driven both.
What plans do you have for it?

GT2 : Much heavier clutch pedal and the chassis is a lot more stiffer (ie my front inside wheel comes off the ground 1inch when I pull into my driveway). Gear shifter feels similar to my OEM short shifter in the 996TT but a little lighter. Brakes on the GT2 are incredible. Power feels a little more linear vs the 996TT, meaning continues to pull further up the rev range. I could never imagine using the GT2 as a daily driver, a lot more effort climbing in & out of the seats. Suspension is much firmer compared with the X73 package on the 996TT. The 996TT still sounds better with the Europipe S2 loud and still remains an amazing car with the UMW flash & RS fly wheel. The semi-slick tires on the GT2 are annoying for general road driving as they pick up everything on the road.
