Hand Brake Rattle

Not being a great handyman' does anyone know how I might tighten the handbrake.During freeway driving I have a rattle that comes from the handbrake. However, if I hold it the rattle stops. Is there a way to tighten or solve this problem other the holding the brake.Thanks....

im not sure how to do it on porsche's but you should try to take off the sleeve off of the handbrake and theres a bunch of bolts, try tightening those with some tools i dont know how much the porsche's handbrakes differ from bmw's but heres a picture of when i installed mine. i had to change a bunch of circuits for brakes and stuff for no reason just so i dont get an error, if you were planning on switching yours if tightening doesnt work that might have to be an issue you might need to face if you dont know how to do it.

by the way, sorry for the crappy pics i took them on my phone.

Does your entire e-brake handle vibrate? If so, it's probably loosened from the mounting to the body of the car. Access to this area requires remove of the center console. Are you comfortable doing this? It's a little bit of a pain, and you could potentially damage the console if it is carbon, painted, or leather.

I own a 06' Carrera with the same problem. How do you remove the center console safely? Any pics of someone doing this?
