Talking EVOMS EVT670 CS (ClubSport) Tiptronic - 10.97 @ 128 MPH - STOCK VTG TURBOS

We have been finalizing the tuning on our new ClubSport line of EVT Performance Systems for the 997TT and decided to run it out at the drag strip today. The car we tested is a 2009 997TT Tiptronic Convertible, which is not the best "go fast" platform on the drag strip. After 3 fast runs, we were kicked out so we could not try and better our time / speed. The best time we posted was a 10.97 @ 127.80 with a overall best speed of 128.31 MPH. We ran into some SERIOUS traction issues due to how hard the car launches with our TCU upgrade combined with the OEM launch control. The car cut a best 60' time of a 1.655 which is great for this heavy Tiptronic Cab

Our development goal for the EVT ClubSport (CS) Performance Systems was to further maximize the power of the stock VTG turbochargers. We combined our already proven EVT technology with our cutting edge new 44mm headers, 70mm sport exhaust and new high flow turbo fresh air inlet ducts. We further optimized the ECU calibration to take advantage of the improved intake and exhaust flow as well as incorporated our new dual mode chip switcher. The final piece to this equation was to recalibrate the Tiptronic TCU to fully maximize the performance.

We will be posting more details, photos, videos and dynos shortly. This same upgrade for the 6-Speed manual car produces about 20 more HP/TQ to the wheels than the Tiptronic car. We are finishing the final tuning for the 6-speed car and will be testing it at the drag strip as well. My prediction for the Tip car was spot on and my prediction for the 6-Speed car is 10.80 at 130 MPH – WITH STOCK VTG TURBOS

Deary me... A 997TT Tip Cab on stock turbos running 128mph and a 10 second pass? That's some serious power and I like the new turbo ducts!

Folks, I can't emphasize how much the tiptronic TCU upgrade comes into play here... Having owner a fast Tip back in the day I could only dream of having this

EVOMSit TCU upgrade FTW. We will be upgrading our EVOMS EVT700 Tip Cab to EVT750 after sema and will post 1/4 miles times.

I know. We developed these over 16 months ago but we had some problems with the manufacturing process which delayed the release. We were testing our second generation version at the Texas mile last March. During our testing, we experienced a boost problem which proceeded to get progressively worse with the higher gears and with increased heat. We thought we has a boost leak but finally discovered that the silicone that was used in that older design was imploding under the extreme conditions. We removed the air filter from the airbox to reduce some of the intake restriction and the problem improved slightly. We were loosing 3-4 PSI of boost in the higher gears which prevented our attack on 200+ MPH.

NOTE: The test car that we were using was our company 997TT fitted with GT30 turbochargers making 850 HP. On our dyno, we had very consistent results and the problem was not discovered until we conducted our real world tests. This is a good example of how and why we test all of our products to the extreme and why there has been a long delay in the release of this product.

The final version is metal reinforced 5-ply silicone which will not implode. We have conducted numerous different tests including computer simulated flow as well as flow bench analysis to verify the effectiveness of this new product. I will post more details shortly. Thank you for your interest.

Our silicone air inlet ducts are in production and we will be selling them as an individual upgrade. I will post pricing in the vendor forum once we get our press release finished later this weekend. Thanks!
