FVD Brombacher – 997TT tuning - Do it yourself flash / incl. Diagnostic software

FVD-Brombacher is proud to announce that we are now offering do-it-yourself flash load ECU software upgrades for the 997 Turbo and GT2! Also included with our latest software version for the 997TT & GT2 is a free single user license for Durametric basic software, allowing you to read out and diagnose fault conditions on your vehicle.<o></o>
<o></o>
FVD-Brombacher’s flash load software is a user friendly Windows® based software application that provides the ability to read out and load programmed software directly thru the vehicles OBD II port. Programming is a simple, computer guided experience and requires hardly any user input. FVD-Brombacher supplies the customer with a USB cable which interfaces directly with the vehicles diagnostic port and our companion flash load software program. Read-out of the vehicles ECU takes place with the click of a button thru the vehicle-encrypted cable, which automatically creates and sends a file to a secure server at FVD-Brombacher Headquarters in Germany. Our software programmers then extract the file’s data, tune the software, then modify the program to suit the customer’s individual needs. Customers are able to express individual tuning requirements in a text field at the end of original file read-out before the program is sent to Germany. Here, the customer can input performance upgrades already installed on the vehicle and our programmers can adapt software tuning to extract maximum performance gains out of existing vehicle modifications. <o></o>
<o></o>
Whether your vehicle is heavily modified or completely stock, FVD-Brombacher will custom tune our programming to suit individual requirements. While we are able to modify a program based on individual needs, FVD-Brombacher tunes Porsche ECU’s with the following modifications in mind:<o></o>
<o></o>
-Increasing throttle response<o></o>
-Modifying Ignition Timing<o></o>
-Optimizing Air and fuel ratios<o></o>
-Removal of the top speed limiter<o></o>
-Increasing the rev limiter<o></o>
-Modification of boost mapping on turbo vehicles<o></o>
<o></o>
All of FVD-Brombacher’s programming is proprietary, developed in house by FVD, for FVD, our partners and you, our customers. After modifications are made to the software, the file is then sent back via email directly to the customer who can then load the program back into the vehicle. The read-out of the original software and loading of the new program takes only minutes and the entire flash load process from start to finish takes under an hour. Customers also have the ability to flash their ECU back to stock anytime using the same cable and software, as the customer is also sent their original, unmodified program file. FVD-Brombacher stands behind all of their products and offers a 14-day money back guarantee on software upgrades. FVD-Brombacher also offers free software program updates should the customer decide to step up their performance and choose one of our level kits.

What kind of gains do you expect (or already have documented) for software + the 200 cell cat mufflers? Also numbers for mufflers + headers? Thx

Looks awesome. I'd be interested in some numbers with this tune and exhaust, dyno chart would be great.

Rhonda,

Can this be used to make a backup and modify a GIAC tune?

Here are the numbers with the tune and the exhaust...

FVD Level 2 Tuning:
Max. Power - 408kW (555HP) @ 6000rpm
Max. Torque - 745Nm (550lbf ft) @ 4000-4500rpm
Max. Speed - 325km/h (202 mph)
Max. RPM - 7000rpm
Acceleration 0-100km/h (0-60mph) - 3.6s

Typically we see 10-15 hp and 18-23 lb ft more torque with our header's than the numbers that I listed above....

raclaims - So sorry buddy. That would have been a set of headers. I know, I know. I was hoping to get this ball rolling alot quicker but FVD Germany is relentless with their testing...

hjacobs2000 - I will check into that for you.

Thanks,
Rhonda

Dude, don't feel bad about your GIAC purchase- you already have the finest software for a 997TT available anywhere. Not knocking FVD but day for day and apples for apples (ie: same day, same car, same dyno, opposing software), i think you'll find that what you already have makes better, smoother and more reliable power.

If you do this in steps, say with the tune being first and then adding the exhaust later, is there any change to the tune needed after exhaust is added or are you good to go??

Now that's innovation. Just hope it's not one of those: sounds too good to be true. But I think not in this case. Such an innovative product is especially appreciated to anyone having gone thru the effort of installing EVOMsit or has had engine-software problems on occasion reported for softronic.
It will be great getting feedback from 6speeders buying the system.
Again, congratulations to FVD-Brombacher!!

Swoody,

No need to change the tune as long as your future exhuast is running 200 cell cats, the file would be the same. But if you would be running a 100 cell set up or catbypass we would send you another file.

Thanks,
Rhonda
