Bling?

I was looking at those $175.0 CF accent pieces you can add to the outside mirrors, but is it cool bling, or just bling?

I had a friend who had the carbon fiber glue-on accents, but they came off over the winter. I'm sure the temperature changes through out the season were partially responsible...

Does yours include double sided 3M tape? I'd probably use that rather than glue...just a suggestion.

rotec did include 3m tape but my body shop said they will something else on top of the tape to secure it.

Ok so you guys on this occasion will back up the bling ?
I thought 3M tape was the ultimate stick. Would be interested in hearing what is better.

I personally don't like it.
I find CF to often look fake and cheap unless it's the real thing with a real purpose...if you follow me...when it's used as an accent piece it just turns me off...but I do know loads of people who love it.

my shop said they will be using the 2 pieces of 3m tape provided from rotec but will add more for assurance (probably just more 3m tape).

my car has been in the shop for the past 2 weeks so will post pics once everything is completed.

not a fan of CF on the outside of the car. Prefer to leave things alone on the exterior. I do like some CF on the inside.

I bought a set & sold them without installing them ,after dry fitting them & seeing some others installed i was concerned about any gaps that seem to show around the edges & the exposed edge making them look like stick on pieces & not inserts.I think the install is key here also i like the dry carbon look better on the exterior available from Rottec & TA,but it's your car so all that matters is if you like it in the end GL.
