1st 997.2 Stage II from SpeedArt

Source: http://www.gtpurelyporsche.com/newsitem.asp?newsID=140

We anticipated it wouldn’t be long before Porsche Tuner speedART debuted their modified version of the new generation-two PDK 997 Turbo and here it is. It’s called the BTR II 580 and according to Speedart’s claims Porsche’s 3.8-litre turbocharged DFI engine produces an extra 80hp and 120nm of torque through modified engine electronics and a new exhaust system complete with sport cats and single race-tail-pipes. Performance improves on the standard car’s already ballistic pace with 0-62mph passing in just 3.2 seconds whilst flat out the BTR II 580 will reach 201mph.

As well as more power, SpeedART have produced a new body kit dubbed the “BTR II” consisting of a front chin spoiler, better brake cooling, side skirts, rear diffuser, roof top spoiler and a rear spoiler wing which is painted in a two-tone finish complete with new side stickers. And what about those rather striking alloy wheels? SpeedART’s LSC FORGED 20-inch wheels are available in a host of colours- as is the customizable interior- as well as modified suspension packages being available.

For more information visit their website.

Power upgrade: 9,890 Euro
Body kit: 5,100 Euro
Competition lightweight wheels complete set: 6,640 Euro
Some thoughts...

So 40hp more than mine, 10Nm less torque though. I would assume PDK box is right on the edge of torque limit with 790Nm.

3.2s to 60mph is what quite a few stock PDK 997.2 Turbo cars have achieved already. It's the manual figure that is the most telling, 3.5s to 60mph, mine is tested at 3.3s by SportAuto mag

Nothing on 0-200 or to 300kph though, but with 580bhp I would expect good things! Also 10k euros compared to mine which was 6000 euros (which is already x3 what other tuners charge for StageII), so perhaps they have had to strengthen quite a few internal components which is why it costs so much. The big question is how drastically will it shorten the lifespan of the gearbox and the engine?!

You mean 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3,3s by SportAuto mag for your car ?

I am waiting for my car to be ready with Stage III from RS-Tuning, looking forward to test it in January

Zamir is infamous around these parts
Now thats a good looking car. I am seriously considering the benefits of continuing to mod my 997.1 vs. waiting and getting the 997.2.
