Techart LED (9LEDs) DRL on 997TT stock bumper?
Hi guys,
Just if any of you have tried/or already fitted the Techart Led DRL on a 997TT stock bumper? Not the one fitted just below the oem turning led. But the one with 9 LEDs which is originally for 997GT2 or Techart Type 2 front bumper as direct replacement as techart suggested.
Really like the design and want to fit it on to my oem front bumper.
Anyone tried or have some experience?
Thx guys!
CHeers,
Alan

I don't know if anyone has done the modification you are speaking of, but I am in the process of having the SpeedArt DRL's installed on my 997TT.
They utilize the OEM part and add LEDs to the setup. The LEDs turn off when the turn signal turns on but re-illuminate when the turn signal is not in use. I believe this operation is similar to the LED systems on the newer Audis.
What I liked about the SpeedArt systems is that it retains a completely stock look when everything is off but gives you the LED DRLs when you have lights on.
Youtube video of the system (not my car): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vu5lxHhWFFk
Hope that helps. I'll take pics/videos of my setup once I get it back from the shop.

The TechArts definitely require the TechArt front bumper, as they are much larger than the stock ones. SpeedArt along with Vivid Racing are the two only ones to my knowledge that utilize the existing housing.

When the daytime running lights are on in this video, they seem to blend together to make it look like 1 long horizontal light. As opposed to the audi, where it actually looks like several individual LEDs, which I think looks better. Has anyone seen the porsche ones live, and can confirm or deny that observation? thanks.

I am having them installed this week. They are on their way back from Germany as we speak. Let me know what you need and I'll try to help. They are SpeedArt but I am not sure it's through GMP. I know they are the US distributor for most SpeedArt products but the guys at my great shop in Houston handled it all so I'm not sure who they went through or if they went to SpeedArt directly.
As for pricing, they just went up $200/pair for "foreign exchange" shifts. PM me if you need more info.

love the techart individual LEDs design.
I wonder why and how the techart LEDs would fit Gt2 stock bumper but not the 997TT bumper...
