9500ci is one of the best out there. Can't go wrong with it. I know some of the folks here are very happy with it. Do a search.

+1 for 9500ci. many friends have this unit and are happy with it.
great all in one solution

i have a bell STI radar detector and was going to install a seperate laser jammer as well.
i plan to wait and ditch the bell STI for all-in one 9500ci

When I bought my turbo it had the K40 calibre rader/laser already installed. I have used val.1 for the last couple of years, but I have been impressed so far with this unit.

I have the K40 with laser jammers front and rear, works flawlessly and it has saved my a$$ a couple of times.

Have both the Escort 9500ci and the Laser-interceptors installed. The Escort seems to give more false alarms. Word of advice the Escorts have the laser shifter mechanism turned off from the factory and have to be manually activated. This also occurs when you replace the battery, the Escort defaults to laser shifters off. I found out the hard way.

I also have K40. Stealth system with only 2 blue LEDs on each side of the tachometer - one for the front and one for the rear.

It did pick up lasers well in advance on my long haul trips!

As for resellers... check their(www.K40.com) website. They list local resellers.

I did my research and went with V1 and the laser interceptor. I installed the V1 to the interior dome light power source and now need to get my laser interceptor installed. V1 has been great and the laser interceptor is the top rated jammer. Many threads and radar detector.net also has a lot of good info. You need a detector and a jammer.

What roughly is the cost of a K40 custom installed system in a 997 TT. With my extra mods I need some protection

Mine was 2500, kit and installation. A bit steep I think.

I assume the jammer is not legal. Anyone had any issues with being pulled over by a cop who sees you fly by, and realizes you must have a jammer? I would imagine that would really **** them off.

jammer legality varies by state. when you are hit with laser and the jammer notifies you, you should then flip the switch to shut it off while you slow down. cop is then able to pick you up at the slower speed with the laser.
