need help - GT30 ON 997TT overboost
hi guys ,, am new here ,, great fourms
.. i have a problem in my 997tt
its moded with gt30 package ...
High Flow 78mm Plenum
High Flow Ypipe 3inch
High Flow Cold Air Intake
the car run fine .. but when i press the gas hard it make 1.9 bar !!! i made the settings in the greddy boost controller to run just 1.2bar !!!!
i turnd the boost controller off ... and tried again it also shown in the boost controller dash 1.7 or 1.6 bar !!!!!
as i know that when i drive the car with out boost controller i must get just 1 bar that the wastgate spring is !!! but i got 1.7 bar
so whats wrong ??? is it pipe or leak problem ??? or what ??

well, with the boost controller off you should be running .8 bar since your springs are .8 bar so it doesnt make sence, leak somewhere could be vacume, i think it had to do with your boost controler,
but dont drive the car till you get it figured out, btw whos tuning are you running?

You should look to the "standart external wastegate installation" picture in the link above and check your boost hoses accordingly.
Also dont forget to check your "Dip Switch Settings". You must adjust them for external type.

Do you know what type of waste gate and what spring is in it? Also how is the waste gate plumbed into the headers? I am just assuming that you have external gates.
Also, where are you pulling the boost ref for the back side of the waste gate from?
