Has anyone ordered (or taken delivery of) a 2010 Turbo in Australia yet? Are you thinking of one? Please post your thoughts here...

Hi mhh. Good on you for starting the thread. I saw photos of a Ruby Red 997.2 TT soft top on one of the forums recently. Looked like NSW plates. It would have to be one of the first in Oz. What has your dealer told you about the S? Mine said he would have details for me to spec up an S next month for a June/July delivery. He guesstimated a $50K premium over the base TT. So looking at in excess of $450K for the base S. But there was a recent 5% reduction in import duty which will save you a little bit. Or you can send the money on more options

I haven't asked. I was close on a Turbo but cooled off at the last minute. I like my Carrera S too much and the changeover was plenty - as you'd expect.

Quoted gain with RS Tuning ECU / exhaust upgrade is 70PS. The car is now a beast to drive, traction control light flashing every gear 1st thru 4th. The Akrapovic system uses larger 100 metal cats so I would expect a slight gain above the already quoted 70PS.

This time next week I should have test driven the 997.2 TT that the Perth dealer has for sale. And I should have also placed an order for my 997.2 TT S. Going to be a big week.

Currently looking at a September delivery date so have to be patient.

Gerbs, the press cars are here in Adelaide for the launch drive which finished yesterday and I had a drive last night. Very,very impressive. You will place an order after a test drive, believe me!

Is September the earliest date for any Australian S, or are you in a queue already?
