Well done... it's going to be so neat to see where this project goes. No two ways about it but this thing is quick out of the box. Lag is minimal. The suspension is improved vs the 997.1 stock. Me likey thus far!
Likes Vs Stock Gen 1
1) The PDK sport wheel and paddles. Much better than the regular wheel
2) Suspension. Much more settled and consistent
3) Crazy weird turbo/shrill sound. Needs an exhaust but kinda fun
4) Runs strong on crappy 91 with cool air out here anyways.
5) Initial 0-60 burst. With the gearing/PDK and TT set up it's less laggy than a 997.1TT
6) New PCM. Awesome.
Dislikes
1) Higher compression but lower boost. boo!
2) Silly bulbous side mirrors. Looks like someone was boxing them and gave 'em a bruise.
3) Ride height
So much to do... and you've already identified a few areas eh
PS I can't believe you were on your laptop looking at the stock file till 3am last night. Get some sleep eh!

Raised Boost is much easier to fix then to add compression.. A newer more responsive High Compression motor is allowed due to the DFI.. It going to respond to each lb of boost so much better.. Good luck!!!

good seeing and chatting with you today Todd. Looking forward to your future updates on this. Also, thanks to you and Alex for flashing my CTT. Huge difference for sure!
Have a safe drive back to 'zona. See you again very soon.
P.S. who's that good looking guy with the white hat in the background? :-)

This is awesome and congrats on a beautiful Turbo!! Any word yet on the base line dyno for this 997.2 before you guys go crazy on the mods? I am curious to see what the difference is stock vs. stock of the 997.1 vs. the 997.2. It would be great,as I bet you baselined many stock 997.1's. Again, gorgeous 997.2...the leds in the fogs are hot!

Here are a few photos from today. Alex and I took a drive up to SFO to pick up (elow's) 997TT EVT700 car. We then took a drive over the golden gate to meet up with Ralph (Snowboarder54) and the guys at Sonnen Porsche. Drove the car now 220 miles and and it feels like it is a bit more snappy than when I first drove it. I will be taking a long road trip (900 miles) tonight and it should be a different when I get home. It was great to meet all of the Nor Cal guys.
These are from SFO and heading over the Golden Gate
These are from our trip to Mill Valley. Elow's EVT700 and the new 2010
I could not stand the yellow side markers so I did my first mod here. Replaced them with the clear ones which look MUCH better. - Thanks Alex

Hey Todd,
Long time no see. (see sig at bottom)
Any way, I just picked up my 2010 TT last weekend. Anxious to see what you guys do with the ECU.
I noticed that you mentioned using an outside of the car flash as a way to avoid detection. But that got me thinking. What happens if the dealer needs to flash an update? Does the EVO flash then need to be reloaded? If so, how would that be handled now that I am in So Cal.
Best,
DV
(Todd: I'm keeping my name off of message boards for reasons I can go into later if it matters. But, so you'll know who "DV" is, I used to live in Ancala, where you picked me up a few times to retrieve my old 996TT that was converted to stage 4gt roughly 5-6 years ago.)

It will be interesting to see what you get on the dyno. My "butt-o-meter" says the car is underrated by Porsche. Either that or the PDK/direct injection somehow makes the car feel a lot more powerful than it really is.
