After big Searching i order my packege from Protomotive ,

and there is alot of parts witch i need to open my engine !

my car is in dubai , i cant find any body to build my engine , it cost me $5450 to send the whole engine to the us


Please i need some body to help me with this matter !

 

Ask Promotive to arange a mechanic to build your engine here in Dubai, pay him a ticket and arrange a hotel for few days or so, and you can use any garage in alquz area like bin 7ather or qurater mile or any others make a deal with them that you will use the garage for few days or week , i don't recommed sending the engine !
btw way we build a Ruf engine in Dubai las year with the same setup.

That shipping quote you got is from a shipping/logistics company that want to rip you off. To ship your engine to the USA, it should cost you in the neighbourhood of $1800-2100 approx. I took that route and i live close to you in neighbouring Kuwait. Check other companies. Try to see what DHL cargo, Aramex Cargo etc. Can get you.

You can check with Salem Freight International. They located in Abu Dhabi and this is the contact numbers 02-6277333/6265888. They shipped my engine LS7 from US door to Abu Dhabi airport for only $1100 and that it depends on your engine how much it weights or if your engine not heavy they will take the dimensions to check which one is more weights.

 

Like others have said your shipping quote is to high.

Send it to Todd and get it done right. It will be worth it at the end of the day!

I think ill go with the bolts on kit first and ill ship my engine in summer

 

it would cost u well over $40k to have Todd come to u and build u a engine. He wants around $5k just to come to Washington to tune a car. Im not saying its not worth it but u may just want to send him the engine

5K isnt that bad if you think about it. Most tunes charge around 3K for a generic tune? The cost of the ticket depending where you live and the time of the flight can be 1K. Lastly, he will loose money the days he is there because he is only working on your tune and not others who have sent him data log information to work up.

 

The average off the shelf tune is about $2500-$3000. If you take the time to fly out, custom tune...$5K doesn't seem that unreasonable, considering you have one of the most knowledgeable people doing it.
