Porsche951S is infamous around these parts
How far should the real spoiler rise? Ive seen different heights

I was at the dealer this morning and noticed an 08 997 turbo Cab with its spoiler up. It seem about a whole finger length. My car is an 07 turbo coupe, and doesnt rise nearly as far as the other car, maybe 1/2 finger length.

Is my spoiler not working right, or is there a Mod to raise it higher, or do the 08's rise higher?.. I was pretty sure mine was the correct stock hieght

Your spoiler is fine, the cab spoiler goes a bit higher than the coupe spoiler, from the factory.

You can re-bleed the hydraulics in the canisters to a higher level. Major league PITA. You risk the cylinders being uneven, etc. I've done it when I had a leaky pump.

Not worth the trouble. Trust me.

Is there a way to have the spoiler stay up all the time on a 997TT ?

You can deploy it, then use either PIWIS or durametric to deactivate the wing to leave it in the deployed position.

You can deploy the spoiler using the button.

Then using PIWIS or Durametric you can deactivate the spoiler control.

The wing will remain deployed.

I guess I am a newbie at this stuff. What is PIWIS or Durametric ? Do I need to actually open an owners manual

PIWIS is the device that your dealer uses to read and edit the settings and faults on your car's computer. It is essentially a hand held laptop with an OBD2 interface.

Durametric...well easier just to read their website.

Keep in mind the differences in spoiler heights are aerodynamic reasons. You would be altering the aerodynamics unfavorably by changing the coupe spoiler to a higher setting.

Its just easier to push the spoiler raise button. You have to turn on the sport button anyways right?
