I do this at my shop about once a week but it gets annoying

OK Guys, I am making progress with the grilles! I got it all disassembled and took photos (car was terribly dirty from getting caught in the snow and salted roads on the way home!). I have the center grill completed, and the sides openings are a bear IMO.
Just about got them and hope to put together a DIY when I can get all the photos pulled together with comments....And when I am finished with the side openings. I had to order more mesh...Hope to have it tomorrow and finish up and reassemble this weekend. I have attached a photo of a little progress and a test fit..Seems to be coming out OK.

That looks really great. I'm curious how are you attaching it and have you given consideration to attaching it to the vertical bars to prevent it from bowing in? A picture from the inside would be great and I know you said your doing a DIY................ but would love to see

I plan on doing a DIY if it will help. Meanwhile here is a pic from the inside. I have only completed the center so far. Just got more material today and hope to finish the two sides tomorrow. Mostly Body screws to date, but with the curves on the side pieces will probably also use some 60 second epoxy on a few spots. Hopefully the sides will go well! Thanks

997 Turbo Bumper Removal, Radiator Cleaning and Grill Install - DIY

OK folks...

As promised I put together a DIY site for this topic. Finished mine up today and must say the side grills were no fun! But just have to take your time and keep shaping and reshaping and fitting. Here is a link to the do-it-yourself I just put up. Hope it helps.....If you have a better way to do it feel free to use your way or put your own DIY together. I am no expert...Just like to play with cars as a hobby (expensive one).

Good luck to you if you try it. I was pleased with the results...Only embarrassed that my car was so dirty from getting stuck in salt and snow...Looks like I don't take good care of my baby But I do...Just stays 10 degrees so long I cant wash it!

DC

See later post for downloadable .pdf file. Figured it would be easier to use

great job and very nice write up. Quick question, where did you pick up the mesh? and did it come in black or did you paint it? thanks and all the cars are looking good
