I would not have any problems with my wife driving my C4S, but the price tag on it is what scares her. She is reluctant to drive it even in the back roads.

My wife used to drive mine occasionally but is not real comfortable with the manual on all of our hills. She has always had an SL so never had a huge desire to drive the Turbo. The Bentley is hers so now she never drives it - her choice not mine. I have absolutely no problem with her driving it if she would choose to.

For the record....

My 997 Turbo is Tiptronic S, so no issues with shifting....Also she had a Boxster before her Carrera and it was a 6 speed also....So I cannot use that one.

997CarreraS is infamous around these parts
Back in 83 I had a 75 911S. Wifey went too fast around a bend in the Highway, spun out and hit the guard rail hard. Car went up on two wheels almost flipped came down and broke off both the wheels on that side of the car. Ironically I was following her in my company car. I saw the whole thing. Thankfully she was fine. She has not asked to drive any of my Porsche’s since then.

Nice wife

I wish my wife would drive my car and frequently. It would be a nice sport-hobby to share. But she prefers her own car. Fortunately my son likes to drive the TT every chance he gets. I enjoy you guys who share this interest with your spouse. Cool.

NO CHANCE.

My wife has been driving my new RS6 for the last 9 months and there isnt a wheel without scuffing on, and lots of bodywork scratches! I have been driving various 997s solidly for the last 5 years and not one scratch on any of them.

My wife simply asked the other day...Or stated...I would like to drive that car sometimes....Now mind you she has a 996 Cabriolet and Cayenne S...But I pictured my turbo with no front spoiler, a Coach purse imprint in the leather seats, and a Nordstroms parking ticket in the glove box

Just asking for fun...Not trying to be a pig or anything...So take it lightly please! And women...No offense...I love my beautiful spouse!
Mine drove the M5, E55, RS6, 996TT, 997TT with no problems. She is a safer driver than I am...

My wife grew up driving a VW. She has no problem with any of my cars. Sometimes if you've had a few at a party, it's great to throw her the keys and just enjoy the ride.

She is afraid....its too low and it has Werks1 carbon fiber chin spoiler. She drives a 98 C2S with euro springs and has torn off her chin spoiler more then once...not to mention she has had a couple new front bumpers!

When my wife wants to drive my car I’m always the winner at the end of our negotiations…<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
<o> </o>
A great negotiation tool…
