Right Neil, and I forgot to mention my car on full boost 30psi makes 1100awhp on a Mustang.Just for shats and giggles I overlayed the dyno numbers fdrom right before the 0ct 09 TX mile over the March 09 TX mile run when my car ran 231.

I really don't believe KA will have any problem. She is already built.

No offense meant bud! Can't wait for your beast to hit the pavement, and I'm sure it will kick some serious TTG ***!

Anything can happen with these power levels. My guess is we will best the 1500 hp the TTG is packing. The TTG would know it was in a real fight.

I have a really hard time thinking that the porsche is "slippier" in aerodynamics than the lambo, but the numbers don't lie as posted; there are obviously some other factors at play though which negate that I am thinking(just hard to believe the longer and less sloped lower lambo doesn't have the better coe)
Other than moving a lamborghini for work I have no idea how their gear ratios are. I imagine with the v12 it's long gears; so this would suit the lambo much better than a porsche for big turbo's. I have driven a 996 x50 and the gears weren't noticeably long at all and really for 1/4mi pases or texas mile events
3.82:1 for the lamborghini gallardo
3.44:1 996t

The only car I know of that got close to that is Arts car. He claimed 2.5 bar which is above 35 psi. He also ran the 221 mph on the lower boost setting and a bad clutch.
Evojohns Evoms GT2 car was also running some serious boost. They expected that car to go very high had it not spun into the weeds. This year should be interesting for sure.

Betim,
I'm not doubting the 40 pounds ........ but with what displacement. Our biggest concern now is the case, not the heads. In addition, with the power we are looking at, we wanted a knock system with more than listening mics and set frequencies.

A little off topic but I'll share some knowledge when it comes to street racing high end cars. Among a number of other factors hp alone will not get you there. Weight reduction gearing tires and most importantly driver does matter.
With that said, my friend Did beat a 1390rwhp mustang drag car that trapped 171 mph in a 1/4 and ran high 7.s. He did it in a 993tt. Some may know about this it went down last year. The mustang was from Texas a shop car.
My point is that it is possible and you don't need 1300 rwhp.
Just my .02 cents

If I'm getting your post right you can't really use a drag setup car like that Mustang to compare to a Mile setup car. They are geared for the 1/4 so doesn't matter how much hp it has if it's geared for shorter distance. A very fast street car would run it down on a highway/mile run.

If your talking about top speed then its a different story...Im talking about beating a G tt on the street...

On the street, a savoy person can frame the race to their particular cars strong points. I refer to it as sucker racing. Then again, racing on the public streets isn't one of the smarter things anyone can do. Just hope you are never on the receiving end of what can and does go wrong in these situations.
