will the Porsche tt beat the Gallardo tt one day ?

The Carrera GT has traction issues mildly modded, plus it has a very unique clutch arrangement that would make it difficult to find a high performance replacement. I honestly think the new ( Jota ? ) If it truly comes in at 3300 lbs with a dual clutch gearbox and AWD with a reputed to be 7.0 V12 will be the car that may own it. That being said the new Hennesey Venom GT with its rear weight bias and power being available up to 1200 hp should own as well.

Quite the opposite actually, it's a Tilton design clutch copied by Sachs, just need to change the material to a carbon based disc pack and the standard CGT should have no problem holding the power, hell most of the car running the mile now are switching to the clutch style the CGT comes from the factory with, just with a proper disk material for the 1,100-1,400hp being pushed through the drive line. It would be an interesting and super expensive project for sure!

I am thinking there are drag cars that run in the 6's that have the power with the right gearing to run into the 270's. I also think an Ultima GTR with a properly calibrated Racelogic traction control and big cube LSx with twin turbo's would be a formidable beast!

I think traction will be a problem for any car trying to beat the current numbers. A TT CGT would be interesting to watch, but such a car would also be near a $1m in cost. CGT motors aren't cheap. Another contender and one that I am surprised has not been used yet is the Murcialago. Big motor and excellent aero.

I think the Ford GT's still have more in them yet, and I agree an AWD platform is great to work with when your looking at big power. My cut price Mile car I always think about is an AWD Pontiac GTO with no interior and lightened to about 3200 lbs with a 1600 rwhp TT LSx motor and built 6 speed auto.

another contender should be a TT'd ZO6. 7Liter motor built to handle high pressure in a light platform should be able to get up there as well.
but we have strayed from the original topic...lol.

Totally agree .. Plus its like comparing oranges to apples this is why this thread has been created .. The gearing, unladen weight, cubic inchs, turbo system .. all are factors to th success of the TT gallardo
