idoling issues 997.1 tt help?
I have an 07 997 turbo with about 13.5k miles on it. (6 speed)
past few days i noticed when i sit there idling for a long time, the revs will drop to about 200 rpms and then bounce back up to the normal 750 idol after half a second. Almost as though the car is about to stall...in neutral
The second thing i noticed is....if i am in any gear then coming to a stop and depress the clutch and brake in, instead of the rpms dropping directly to the 7.5k idol, it will stay at 1100 rpms(just like when you turn the car on when its cold) then taper down to 750 after a second.
I have serious concern over this issue, i figure it is the fuel pump...
I havent had any clutch slipping issues.
Please help out with any ideas of what this could be...Good news is i have warranty, however i want to know what is wrong with the car instead of going into porsche and being told "please re-enact the problem" and it doesnt occur.
Sorry for the poor sentence structure/grammar, writing this in a rush.

I would assume he means 750 and 200rpm. I would suspect a coolant sensor or vacuum leak. Is this problem constant or intermittent? I am sure your dealer will can find and correct.

The problem has been pretty constant, occuring a few times these past few days. I will call porsche tomorrow and see what they say.

sorry didnt mean to sound like a smart alec just wanted to make sure. best thing to do would be contacting the dealer and explaining it to them and hopefully they will get to see it

i had a similar issue while in idle the rpm keeps dropping and revving from 200-800 constantly. turns out the throttle body needed cleaning. maybe thats your issue. have some 1 look at it and keep us posted
