Unbelievable!!!

I'm still in awe! I've seen the Panamera Turbo at the dealership and I've gone for a test drive in a Panamera 4S but I've never experienced the Pan Turbo in action. Well, today I ran my 09' Turbo Coupe, six speed with ECU flash and exhaust from Switzer against a stock 10' Pan Turbo! We started at a roll around 50 mph and ran to around 125 on private roads. I got the first jump and pulled from him ever so slightly. The next run starting at 50 mph and he got the jump. I could never pull on him!! He asked me if I really wanted to tear up!LOL We started from a stand still and he jumped out about a car and a half ahead of me and both cars pulled evenly to about 70 mph. All I can say is the Panamera Turbo is UNBELIEVABLE!! The car is absolutely magnificent on the inside and the performance is amazing! The back end has really grown on me and I would definitely consider one of these amazing cars to own! Porsche built the most amazing luxury sedan in the world!

6speed vs. PDK I imagine would account for the difference. Driver skill (or lack thereof) plus the drop in boost b/w shifts with the 6 speed.

You know it! Only if you break 200
check the entries. I'm the first to run one. Care to guess top speed?

Quickness and speed are different things. I bet the Pana is quicker in the quarter but traps a slower speed.

Marc can drive well and missed no shifts. His OP is testament to the 4 door's abilities.

I have done as much as I can to try to squeeze a little more speed out of my car, but Iam making no predictions!!

I bet your PT will do 160-165 in the mile? What are you thinking it will do?

I will cross my fingers. Hope you make it!

I hope I break 170. Launch control will get me faster quicker. I drove Steve's Audi taxi cab a year ago to mid 160's and I think it does better. I hope.

Trust me, if I missed a shift I would have run again. We ran three times and the results were the same all three times! I shifted perfect and at the right rpms! The bottom line is the Panamera Turbo is a beast! If you don't believe me, I'll set up a run for you in the R550 997 against a stock Panamera Turbo! Just bring a lot of tissues! You'll need them to wipe away your tears!! Trust me, I did!

I know quickness and speed are different. I posted the trap speeds as a reflection of horsepower. From a roll, the car with better hp/wt ratio should win. In independent testing, the Panamera is 1.5 to 2 seconds slower to 124mph than a stage 2 997 Turbo (13 seconds to 11 seconds.)

If you bring your Panamera Turbo to the Mile, could you post your datalogs? They should be very interesting.

Again...
Sorry. All we did was hammer the gas. His car is faster. No doubt, but quickness muddied the water. I knew this thread would irritate a few TT owners. I would be too.

You may have misinterpreted my intent. I'm not irritated....more like interested...very interested. If you need a vBox, I'd be happy to send mine out to you. I'd be very interested in the results.
