I think any rule is out the window, its a buyers market if you act fast. But as time goes on enthusiasts are going to see real value in the GT1 derived engine which should stabilize values in those so equipped.

I was able to knock of 4k when I bought my car...Just all depends on how long the car has been there or how willing they are to make a deal....It can never hurt to ask!

There are no rules of thumb. Do your best to learn what's out there, and then beat them up. Expensive cars aren't selling, so get your negotiating hat on. I just got a 2009 with 3200 miles on it for about $40k off MSRP...

I say even small things like color combo may make a difference when you are negotiating. Obviously, higher the miles, the more haggling room you have.

In my experience, I noticed that many dealers I dealt with had very little appetite for negotiation.
