That said; I'm sure that on mid-boost it's indeed a PE850.

wow, the veyron had no chance.....Scott, so the proto kits numbers, whp then? I must have had it confused with another tuners kit name.

D, yeah that is the car LOL. He got pulled over at 170+mph and not sure what happened to the Veyron. In this case the Bugatti would have had this car for lunch since I know the car and capability. At the time it had non ball bearing GT28's and previous owner's best 60-130 on this set up was 7.0 and me having those Turbos on my last set up, I could only punch out 6.14 seconds out of them at 1.4bar. i have an UMW 800 kit with regeared cup car tranny and every suspension piece down to the subframes from a cup car with no rubber in the suspension. i had cheap *** hankook tires and brent, the owner of the veyron who also lives in dallas where i live, did not eat my car for lunch in any way shape or form. as a matter of fact he would not pull up next to me for an honest race, not that i blame him too much after we had just got bailed out of jail, after that he stoped in dallas and i never met up with another veyron on open highway the rest of the way to miami.
i walked every single car on GB that would line up with me. there was not a gas station one that the drivers woudl not come up to me in amazment because i walked the so badly.
the closest i got to racing a veyron was on a 2 lane road coming back form the grand canyon and the veyron was in front of me and i could not give it all i had or i would have rear ended him and the on comming traffic was too much. when we stoped for gas he was like what the f* is in that car. we were going to run on the interstate and he got pulled over as we were turning off the 2 lane road onto the interstate. there is a video of it on youtube and you can see me pull away as the cop stops everyone.
if anyone begs to differ, im in dallas and would meet up anytime to see if im wronge.
just in case anyone doubts me, here is a pic of laren begg, blue shorts, from 911design helping me, camo shorts, wash my car and truck after he did an alignment on the porsche.

that is me driving... and if you notice i had the prior years stickers on my car since i showed up late and was lazy and left them on all year since the previous GB. all the other cars had silver stickers.

Art, cool. I wasn't trying to put words in anyones mouth, just wanted to know the outcome as I know they had to have run each other on the open highway. No doubt that it will take one hell of a fast car to beat a veyron.
And here is another point in the veyrons favor. How many 996/997tt's GT2's have run faster than a veyron on PUMP Gas? which is where the veyron lives, not on race gas? To my knowledge the veyron does not have a race file selector switch. This GT850 puts out that power on race gas if I am not mistaken. Could it have taken the Veyron on pump gas? I've said this in other threads. We can't compare our cars on race gas to factory supercars on pump gas. If you race an Enzo and you are on C16, did you really see if you can beat one when he is on 91-93? I don't think so. But that is IMO

Yeah you really can't compare a modified car to a stock car, there are cars out there for much less than you have in your Porsche that would eat a Veyron for lunch but that is still comparing apples to oranges. The Veyron also has a unique ability to be quite stable at very high speeds.

What else? Gallardo? cost as much or more than the GT2, so that one is out. Not sure I can think of one short of a crappy handling drag car. For less money than a turbo or gt2 you will not get a complete package.
