Nope, dealer will have to sell the car to qualify for CPO.

There are loop holes, but the dealer will want a transaction fee which can run upwards of $1500 on top of the approximately $2500 to purchase the CPO. Also, if you go this route, make sure your purchase is contingent on passing the CPO inspection, as many cars are inelgible. If the car has been chipped it will be exlcuded, as well as too many high rev ranges on the dme scan. Porsche also requires almost new rubber on the car, and they may make your replace the tires to qualify as well. Your best bet is to find a car that is already CPOd.

Have you thought about just calling a dealer to inquire?

You can "channel" a sale through a willing dealership. Typically costs about 3k including the cpo (which is a markup of about a grand)

OCTurbo is infamous around these parts
Another option is to get an EasyCare warranty through the dealership. They will need to do a car inspection (costs $200-300), but the warranty is a better value and is very good (covers as much or more than cpo).
