997 Turbo in Market today and competition
As many of you know I'm doing an anniversary project for the 911 Turbo and I've been looking for information regarding the target market and marketing channels. My next question is: does anyone know how many 997 Turbos (2006 and on) are in the market today? What is their market share compared to other exotics? Are my list of competitors real competition? ( Direct Competitors will be listed below)
Ferrari F430:
Audi R8:
Lamborghini Gallardo:
I have also included a list of indirect competitors
Nissan GTR:
Viper SRT10:
Corvette Z06:
If anyone would please to enlighten me on some of this information and provide the links for the figures and statistics as well that would be highly appreciated.

What is "an anniversary project?"

Of Course I am! Just kidding! I just wanted more complete research. Sales report gave me figures regarding 911 series in general but but not the 997 911 Turbo. I've been searching high and low for 911 Turbo world wide production number in general.
The "Anniversary project" is basically a marketing campaign used to celebrate the 35th anniversary and promote the 911 Turbo sales. From what I've gathered, the 911 Turbo and Turbo S is arguably the 911 flagship within Canada (Don't see a page for the GT2.) I also went through sales statistics of new cars sold within Canada during 2009 and forecast for the Canadian market this year. Performance figures were the easiest to find as the automotive journals have these articles in spades. Production figures, market share and marketing strategies however are hard to come by.
