Mods add no value to a car. They make it easier to sell, but don't add value. Theory works the same in real estate. The best looking house in a neighborhood only sells quicker, but it isn't worth much more money. I would start under market because of the mods, the age, and the motor removal.

couldn't agree more.

Not to mention, you start out by saying you want a non-modded car, and then end up looking at a 9 year old heavily modded car that just had an engine replaced? You're asking for trouble.

If I were you, I'd try to find a nice 07/08 for the 80k range that is bone stock or maybe LIGHT modifications, such as exhaust. Don't get a chipped car if you care about warranty.

I agree...stick with a mostly stock 997. I think you may be asking for trouble on that deal.

The 996 has the Gt1 block, proven reliable by many many of us at well over 700 rwhp to the wheels is properly tuned.

I would love to have a new PDK, but I turned up the boost yesterday and put a solid 3 lengths on my friends chipped PDK.

While not as fast as my car, if you can get this car for 50K and the install and tuning is done right it is an unbeatable bang for the buck.

I drive her 2-3 times a week, always avoiding rain and traffic. 65% of the time on straight pump, 25% of the time on a mix and straight race gas less than 10%.

Ther old Gt 700 (which is what my car had when I purchased her) would make a great DD because it does not need a (pain in the ***)tirpple carbon clutch and those old hybrid Gt28's, while dying out up top and not the best roll on turbo have zeron lag.

Also, the power is at a level where street tires are still a viable option.
