100-200 km/h times: Stock_vs_Modified

Not until my wallet does.
I'm hoping to hold out 2 more years but it'll probably be next year.

Thanks Skandalis. Look forward to it. Cheers.

That will be done soon!
But 6,7' and 25,5' at 100-200 and 300;
my times are nearly the same than the GT2RS, same power and bigger torque (balancing the weight of the TT).
Hey Skand', what's up with your IC's?

We got 0-300kmh in 22's on tip modded vtg car
The interesting thing that we got flashed 997 GT2 and flashed 997.2 turbo pdk ran 0-300 in 28's which is as fast as new 997 GT2 RS.
The 997.2 pdk turbo ran quicker 0.5sec approx from 100-200kmh
The 997 GT2 ran littel quicker by also 0.5sec approx from 200-300kmh
Both pdk and GT2 test same day and same time on 93 octane..The temp was about 28-29C
The 997 GT2 can be quicker if it has bigger intercoolers coz stock i/c r really sux

But it is not only the power of the PDK wich produce the times, the gearbox saves at least 0.3' each shift, so the 0-300 would be 1.5' to 2' worse wich a manual gearbox...
So I do not compare really its times (and I do not like driving with thoses "playstation" gearboxes)
I agree my car need to be retune to run like it might with upgraded VTG's,
smaller turbos with big boost and tune run better than bigs with poor boost and tune...
Until I bolt new Ic's the IAT will be worse and the retune pulled down...
Let me a bit of time (several weeks)...
(GT2RS run 1.6Bar bone stock!)

Hello guys,
tonight I had arranged a streetrace with a Gallardo LP560-4 who claimed that could walk Stage 1 997tt's (tune/exhaust)....
Well after trying to find a policefree spot so that I could show him what Porsches are made of (it was not really a contest after all since he was runing head to head from roll 80km/h with a friends stock GTR) we finally ended up playing hide and seek with the cops who tried to pull us over... Since I did not have the opportunity to race I thought that to the way home I could do a couple of vbox logs to see how the exhaust helped...
I ended up logging a 5.9sec 100-200km/h with one shift and with ambient temps at 22 degrees Celsius and some headwind...
I am pretty sure I can beat that if I try a bit more and with the car cold as I never stopped to cool down the car (everything stock apart from APR flash and Speedtech with 100cell backbox) after riding for almost 2 hours in it straight...
For the time being 5.9sec will have to suffice...( I have sent the file to Scott for verification and perhaps he could also post it here after he verifies it since I don't quite know so well how to cut and post it here...
P.S. Yes i was on pump and the "race" setting of APR and yes the stock clutch is starting to slip just a bit (thank God car is still at 8000miles and was pampered/that is why it still holds IMHO), but I will not replace it until it let's go...

Thanks my friend - I think so to.... although I am pretty sure she has a 5.5sec in her....
#250
people will stop upgrading the vtgs and just get APR flash with exhaust
anyway good luck bro.

I am one of those people that stopped considering about upgrades as well...
I will get the 5.5 for sure when the temps drop a bit more over here and perhaps use some octane booster as well.... but either way after 230 km/h any good upgraded car can walk stock VTG's.... so it really depends on what you are after...
Me, I am perfectly happy with going fast up to 240-250km/h after that I run out of road 99% of the time here, so....

We have premium pump gas here rated at 100RON (like 95 AKI USA rating) and that is what I always use... but I have seen some guys here running Torco octane booster with great results and want to try that as well...

enjoy your ride bro.
