My point is that he's been arguing ad nauseum about how there is no need to upgrade vtg turbos because 60-130 times are not faster than his time. There are other advantages to upgrading turbos than just 60-130 times like significant lag reduction and I suspect lower IATs too. Now it appears that even 60-130 times are advantageous with upgraded vtgs.

+1000 then my good friend

From that point of view I agree then if cost is not an issue (and other concerns) ofcourse a well designed/fitted/tuned system (turbos/ic's/etc) will blow the hell out of a tune only stage everywhere no matter how good the tune is... Let's also note here however that some giant progress in vtg tweaking and modding has been made over the last 2 years...
Keep up the great work you tuning gurus and make us proud...

P.S. Our cars will still remain fastest on stock unmodified VTG's though until someone else appears...

Yeah, you guys are tough to beat with stock vtgs. Still holds the record for fastest vtgs I think (until Milou finds a flat road ).

This morning by 5°C AT:

-100/200: 6,4'
-100/300: 24,6'

little lateral wind.
98 Elf eurosuper.
Still the same set up; upgraded VTG's but poor (very safe) tuning,
next mods are for soon (997.2Ic's and stronger tune) and so new tests...

Cheers

Guys,

all measured 100-200 are one shift from 3th gear on manual cars?
Is it normal that my car is faster 100-200 starting from 4th gear, so no shift ?

how many gear change tip does during 100-200 acceleration?

With my 6spds 997TT, I start from 70 in 3rd and shift to 4th at 7000, if I start from same speed but in 4th I lose around 1 little second.
In the other hand my 993TT runs quicker from 100 to 200 when I start in 4th, the gears ratios are shorter.
In your case, your blasting 1000Nm "speaks" I think...
What are your times?

didn't check from 3th gear as waiting for new clutch, drive shafts etc

I found in logs 5,4 sec starting on 2nd, 3th and 4th.

Today I ran a 1000DA:

I took of cool to preserve my car: 0-100 in 4,2', I did 20,88" at 268kph, and my 100-200 (2nd+3rd+4th) was 7,4'.

To RSR997: how can you run 4,7' as Karol's 800rwp/1000Nm car with only a tune and exhaust?

Would like to see the file on that one! Hard to believe unless RSR weighs 1100kg or less...
