19" plus tire sizes

Contemplating a switch to 19" wheels. Would like to keep the rubber footprint as wide as possible. Anyone run 325/30/19 in the rear and 255 or 245/35/19 in the fronts? 245's are closer to the stock rolling diameters but 255's are still within the 3% tolerances.

Will I have a problem with any of these combos, specifically not burning up the differential?

Sorry, don't have the answer to the tire tolerances, but curious as to why the switch back to 19s?

Hey Ed, why not not go with the stock GT2 config. - 325/30/19 & 235/35/19? Only draw back is limiting the number of companies who produce rears that large.

Eh, not really sure Always said my next car would be more 'go', less 'show'. But I just can't get over how much I like 20's over 19's

Thanks Shawn. Who is the OE manufacturer for the GT2 tires? I just checked the Michelin website and it says the 325/30/19's are run-flat???

My friend's '08 GT2 came with M-cups. He currently has Nitto's and likes them. There are several companies that make the rears and when you look away from cup tires the prices are much kinder.

Ah, that explains it. Does your friend have the Invo's?

Yep. He paid about 60% of what a set of cups would have cost him. His cups last about 3800 miles with semi-conservative driving. We still need to get together with our turbos and my friend's GT2!

The circumference for the 325/30 is 1.49" larger than the 305/30 and I am not sure if that will affect the AWD system if he keep the 235/35 front

Mine came w/ the Pirelli Corsas, they're nice but pricey.

Always wanted to try Invos. If I go 19's, I may do that. And yes, we do need to get together soon (esp before it gets too HOT)

I know the rolling diameters are fine relative to their stock counterparts. But as you said, I'm not sure if the difference b/w front and back would mess with the differential.

325/30-19 and 235/30-19 will be a problem for the center differential. 325/30-10 and 245/30-19 looks pretty good on paper.
