What does a 2010 PDK run in the 1/4? The trap is around 122 right?

How much more trap speed do you think the S will gain in stock form?

10.9 in HCs thread above. S will probably have nearly the same trap speed as a regular TT.

Chris but the previous one from the 996 had a slightly better action from X50

It seems like the Turbo S is identical in power but has a little bit more boost, correct? I'd guess this would shave a .1 second or so from the 1/4 mile and maybe add a mph to the trap speed.

An ECU flashed 997.2TT PDK vs a ECU flashed 997.2TTS PDK should be about identical I'd guess?

These will be fun times for 911 Turbo lovers for sure.

i believe they Have to make the 997TTs runs on a GT2 Turbos so the boost will be higher than the normal 997TT

TT makes 500HP, TTS makes 530HP. The reason for the increase in HP is the added boost you mention. To my knowledge, there are no hardware differences. Same turbos.

I would assume so since other than the added boost, the two cars are mechanically identical, except for optional equipment on the TT that are standard on the TTS.

I'm no expert, but I would think that with no additional hardware, both cars stock, both cars will have identical tuning limits and tuned performance.

Yes, this is what I meant. Thanks. It's quite different from the X50 and "S" package the 996 had where you got the different turbochargers. This strictly comes down to tuning so at least for us guys with the regular plain ol normal 911 Turbos, we can get it tuned to the same max potential as the S.

The S should be a pheonominal car. Porsche is definitely heading in the right direction.

There was a 997.2 comparo in the recent Car & Driver or Road & track I can't remember which....

It was a 6 speed 2010 997TT and it only trapped 122. Your saying the PDK will bring that number up 5-6mph at the end of the 1/4? That's a HUGE amount.

Does anyone have a link to a video of a PDK running the quarter mile yet?

I don't think 10.9 will be the best for either one of them.

Car and Driver went 11.0 @ 128 in a stock 997.2 PDK TT. The 'S' will be faster.

^^^ Agree, surely 122 mph is not the best the 997.2 Turbo can do^^^^^

We all know that magazine trap speeds will vary all over the place, but the Turbo is a bonafide 125+ mph trapping car.

dont forget EVOMS all tuned 997TTPDK including turbos did just 10,7 sec quarter, and this car is 120whp over stock...

so we must see what a PDK stock will be doing in real world...

The One Lap of America is real world, and Evoms isn't exactly running in great conditions in AZ.

C&D saw a 5-mph difference between a manual BMW M5 vs one with the SMG transmission. The differences between those models should also apply to the Turbo PDK vs manual, with the addition that PDK is faster than SMG-type transmissions. So +5 mph is believable.
